I should have known
The toss of a coin would not decide my destinyThe splash of a coin
Would have meant the world to me when I was littleThe harsh reality of adulthood
Presses upon me like i should have with my own dreamThe wish was never true
It was the belief that I could do thatI realised that was impossible
The waiting for it to happen and the anticipation of something bigIf i knew I would have tried
Not sat back and watch the wish fade awayIt just faded within the water
That was a poor pence piece lost
