Trees glisten white
Without the green
Leaves which decayed
Last year. Showing changes
Within life; but now it all
Glistens in white
Snow reflecting joy and laughter
From children and what used to be.
You, a child who loved snow but
Now you mope at the beautiful
Inconvenience: when going to work.
Skin freezes, hands crack
But your smile warms
Hearts and makes insides glisten
With love and warmth in definition.
