When I met you
We were sorting out a feud
Just a look in your eyes
Made me think I could reach for the skies
The shock when I met you was all i wished for
You did not know what I was thinking before
A chance to talk to you was all that mattered
The red mist in the air for a mistake that happened
That mistake costing me my dignity
The dignity hiding my liberty
I wanted you but you never knew
How I felt when we were new
The holiday brought eveything
Friendship and love
The best time in a while
For the happiness I couldn't hide
You looked at me I looked at you
Scared of the sea, there was something I could do
I tried to help by confronting my fears
All I wished for that day was cheers
When it ended my heart split in two
Now becoming strangers me and you
A little more time together was the best prize
While I looked in your eyes for the last time
Now we rarely speak but when we do i smile
A quick catch up that we've not had in a while
Thankyou to you for being alive
You're what i live for and the love I thrive
