Never Alone(Sequel to Back to Life)

Jordan's accident 2

I came back from my scan all alone as everyone had left. But my Mom appeared later, I supposed Jon talked her about my stupidity. She was sitting there looking at me with a stern look on her face. I am in trouble. I feel like I was ten in trouble for breaking something and not 48 well 49 in three months. 

"I am really disappointed in you Jordan. Why did you drive off like that? I thought we brought you up better than that". I feel like a child been told off that I shrink down further in my bed to hide away. 

"I am sorry Mom".

" Fighting as well. Really, have we not taught you anything when you were younger?" 

"I am so sorry. I don't know what came over me". 

" That's not good enough especially at your age. You should better".

"Alright, Mom. Can we drop it now? I am tired and my head hurts". I close my eyes to her muttering something. I better get some sleep I am going to stuck here for the night. I heard a doctor come in just as I was getting comfy. I opened my eyes again. 

" How are you feeling?"

"Sore" I replied, "My head hurts".

" That's the concussion. The scans showed a very small bleed nothing serious but we will keep you in for a couple of days to be sure. Your old head injury seems fine. The recent accident hadn't damage that area" he replied "You should be OK in a couple of days. The cast on your nose can come off in a week".

I breathe a sigh of relief that it was nothing serious the seizure I had. It was just a one-off because of my head trauma. My Mom is still there holding my hand which I feel as I try to sleep. I move to get comfy again to fall deeper in sleep. I smile when I feel my Mom kiss my forehead. 

" I will see you tomorrow". Then she goes. 

I wake up in the morning totally forgetting where I was. I start to panic cos I noticed I am in the hospital again. There was a nurse in my room checking my vitals. 

"You're OK. You're in the hospital due to a car accident yesterday. Do you remember?".

" No". 

"How do you feel?".

" Sore. My head hurts. What happened?". 

"All I know is you were involved in a car accident. You have a concussion. There is a slight bleed on your brain which caused a seizure too. You have a broken nose too". I pulled a hand up to my nose and I feel a cast on it. " They are not worried about your old head injury. I was your nurse then and here I am again". She smiles warmly at me. I feel a little calmer now.

Later she leaves and in comes Jon and Joe.

"How are you?".

" Great. I can go back to be ready for the tour and rehearsing". I winced when I moved to sit up and get out of bed. Jon came over and gently pushed me back. 

"Nope, you don't leave until tomorrow. Then you have a few days off too".

" I can't have any time off" I moaned "I lose what I remember". 

" J you have a concussion and had a seizure. Mom told me last night when I talked to her". 

"But I can't".

" You are to rest J. You can't even move without wincing in pain". 

"I am just bruised". 

" The doctor signed you off. It's with our manager now". I groaned. The tour is eight weeks away. I still have to get on that stage too. I can't lose a week then I only got seven weeks. I am not ready. I can't have time off. I got to keep going. I pulled the covers back over me that's when I noticed I was back in sweats and a t-shirt. 

"I am having deja vu here" as I look down at myself. Joe laughed at what I said. 

"You're fine. It's that or a hospital gown".

" Fair point". 

"Now are you going to behave while we are away J".

" Where are you going? If you are sorting out the tour, I want to come too". 

"No Jordan. You are to stay here. Mom will be back soon". He looked at me sternly before I said anything. I glared at them as they hugged me before they left. 

" You need to look at that Facebook live feed of ours and read all the posts. They may cheer you up. Mainly the ones later on" replied Joe. Then they left and I was all alone again in the hospital.
