I Talk Too Much

a little more story babbling sorry lol

Do y'all remember, about this time last year, when I was considering discontinuing Shattered Souls??

And if so, do you remember why I decided not to??

It was because I had gotten an idea for a sequel that I really wanted to write, and ofc I can't write the sequel without finishing the first book

So, my plan was to post Reflected Ruin on October 13th, which is MCSM's third anniversary

But now I'm realizing that even though I've been thinking about this story for nearly a year, what I haven't been doing is actually planning it

So I have no idea where to start

And I have less than a month to figure smth out

I didn't have that problem with Shattered Souls, since I got the idea and just started writing

And I know that once I get the first few chapters done, I'll be able to write this much the same as I did SS

But I gotta do the beginning chapters first! AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M GOING TO DO WITH THEM!!

I'll figure something out

Another thing about Reflected Ruin is that I think I'm gonna be switching POVs a bit more

Personally, I hate stories that change POV characters often. Like, once every few chapters is okay, but for some reason it just really bothers me when it changes every chapter or more

Of course, I have some solid reasons for needing to change POV,,,but it's still annoying

Ugh this is getting pointless

I'm also going to be posting a 'new' story either in October or later this month

And I say 'new' because again, I've been talking about it for months but never really wrote it

The main plot for it has been changed like six freaking times, but I really like the one I've currently settled on

Basically they're monster hunters in a magical, kinda steampunk-ish world

And ofc I've been doing...so much worldbuilding.

More than is strictly necessary for the plot.

Because that is apparently my purpose in life.

Also I wanna let y'all know that Rewound is going to be I think four parts long, but it will not be posted in my Short Stories book. I'm going to make it a separate book, just because...reasons.

Aka I don't even know why but I'm doing it anyways.

It's also not really tied to MCSM anymore. Like, most of the main characters are from MCSM, but the world is so different that it's not necessary to be in the Story Mode fandom to read this.

I know most of my readers are in the MCSM fandom, but whatever

And also their personalities are tweaked beyond all recognition

But it's an AU, so they're not exactly the same people they are in the canon game

Obviously

But anyway, I'll have that up as soon as I finish the first part and the cover.

And I've also come up with yet another story idea, one that's focused on Aiden after ep. 5 and is,,,super dark

It's inspired by the song at top, enough said

That'll be called No Rest for the Wicked, though I'm not sure when I'm gonna post it. Possibly not for a while, because I think I want to finish it before publishing it. It'll be really short though, so...we'll see???

My other title idea was Let the Hunted Know I Cared, but that's not entirely relevant even if it does sound cooler

In other news, Forgotten Demons chapter 11 will be up in a little bit 

I have it done, but I need to edit a little more :T

I WILL be posting a chapter every other week until January, and if I manage that, it should be done before AWU's 2nd anniversary, which is when I'll post War of Wither's End

And I have no idea how long that will take me

But after I finish either Rewound or NRftW, I'll be turning my attention to one of my original stories, probably Should the Ravens Ever Leave or that new one I still need a name for 

Shattered Souls took me a year, and Forgotten Demons is gonna take me longer than that. But those both only stretched on that long because I was procrastinating like mad, and I can't let myself do that with Reflected Ruin, the rest of FD, or WoWE.

I want to finish the Author trilogy and move on. 

I love all my ideas, and I love the world I've created for the characters I love, but this project is possessing my life and I'm getting to the point that I want to be done with it

It's just a stupid fanfiction, and it's more important to me than I'd like it to be

But I love it enough that I'm not going to just quit the series

Ugh
