Okay so my family and I were watching Star Trek: the Next Generation
And there's these little characters called Binars that were supposed to be 'fixing' the Enterprise but were actually sabotaging it so they could steal it
But anyway at some point Mom referred to the Binars as guys, and my sister goes '...I thought they were girls.'
and Mom replied with 'Actually I think they're genderless'
Then I realize... 'They're non-binary.'
And I fucking LOST IT
THE BINARS ARE NON-BINARY
WHY THE SHIT IS THAT SO GODDAMN FUNNY
Long story short I fell off my chair and laid on the floor wheezing for five minutes
And I feel like saying that the whole reason we're watching Star Trek is because Mom thought I'd like it after the way I completely fell in love with Firefly
