"It's because of the Rain, isn't it?"

Rantaro cracked his neck, slightly moving the umbrella above him. The grey sky twisted his way of thinking, setting him in a sad state but that's natural.

Gloomy skies equal a gloomy mood, not surprising because of our simple way of thinking.

'No.' Rantaro thought 'Now's not the time to get depressing. You can talk to Kokichi, that'll do some good.' Rantaro turned to Kokichi, who has raindrops plastered on face. He should've let him take another umbrella.

"So, how's your day?"

Rantaro held up the umbrella much higher than it needed to be as he let his face form a slight smirk. Kokichi had more raindrops plastering his face and tried to wipe them away.

"Are you doing it a-again?!"

Rantaro's small smirk turned into a wide grin, it hurt but it was worth it.

"Whatever could you mean?"

Kokichi held Rantaro by the wrists and shook them frantically.

"Give up the act, please. I can't you lie to yourself anymore."

Rantaro giggled

"You always lie Kokichi! I should stop you from lying!"

Kokichi pulled a small piece of paper from his pocket, forcing it into Rantaro's hand.

"Have you lost the other one I gave you?"

"What do you mean? What is this?"

Kokichi's throat felt like exploding, he had to know and accept it.

"A number for my therapist, he'll help you I swear."

"I don't need help!"

"WELL, WHEN WE TAKE A FUCKING PITSTOP BY YOUR FIANCE'S GRAVE IT SEEMS LIKE YOU DO!"

Rantaro smiled and tilted his head

"You are always in a bad mood these days, Kokichi. Maybe it's because of the recent gang activity."

"This gang activity got him six feet under the very same patch of dirt that is before us."

Rantaro tapped his chin and gasped in a surprised manner. He loosened up his smile to a small, more 'believable' one and rubbed Kokichi's head.

"It's because of the rain isn't it?"

A short idea I started in class, the second part of my one-shot mini-series is taking a little bit longer than usual so I'll have little scenarios in place.
