The green haired boy looked up at the camera, being the happiest he has been in years. How the light reflects off the lense, the red light in the corner of the camera, how can unimportant pieces of technology put him in such a happy mood?
Rantaro Amami. His favorite surviour, he loved him and everything about him. At home, he couldn't stop talking about him to his sister, his mysterious phisyic but normal appearance, his voice, talent... 'Haha, you must really like him then.' She'll probably say at that point.
He was an outcast, Korekiyo Shinguji was the 'odd one out' in his neighborhood. Rantaro Amami was the odd one out in the 52nd season, no one would talk to him and avidly avoided interaction with him unless it was a class trial. He was one of the only charactes he could relate with that was still alive, it would be an absolute dream to speak with him under such circumstances.
"Name?"
"Korekiyo Shinguji."
"Talent?"
"Ultimate Anthropologist."
The voice giggled.
"Such an oddball talent but it'll work. What's your reasoning for coming on the show?"
Korekiyo's stance stood firm. If he was going to be on TV, he couldn't say he wanted to meet someone specific, the fans will flip!
"I-I... just wanted to. The usual fame and recognition gimmick, I guess. "
"There is something off about you, but that'll create some juicy drama. The fans will love it!"
The voice laughed whilst small beads of sweat ran down his face, slow and agonizing. His anxiety was kicking in and breaking down the doors of his calm exterior, he breathed in long breathes to slow it down. Luckily it worked.
"Your interview's over. We will notify you in a week before the premiere so you can create some 'very' interestimg murdering plans, or whatever."
With a last giggle, the red flashing stopped and the voice was cut off. Korekiyo didn't leave just yet, he knew Danganronpa too well. There was going to be a catch like every season, maybe he'll find it in this room.
He found the crack in the corner in the room and the hidden door. The camera and a laptop was on a table, something downloading on a USB connected to said laptop. He was cautious enough to not make noise and smart enough not to stop the almost finished downloading file going on the USB.
Luckily it only took a few seconds more before he could safely search the file. He clicked the file which was apparently a video and opened the file in a videoplayer. And there he was, Rantaro Amami, the light of hope that he will follow 'till the end of days.
He turned down the volume to the lowest hearing point and pressed play. It was for himself, as of his memory was going to be wiped. He quickly skimmed through it and closed everything down. He then made his way to the exit and sprinted to his house. Ultimate Survivor? Was this a new prize for returning students? Whatever it was, he'd be sure to remember this and remember it he shall.
