In which Author-chan tries to write something positive

Korekiyo and Rantaro were cooped up in his lab, reading old books and legends that Korekiyo brought with him. It was quiet and stuffy as if the air was a soft pillow that you can lay on anywhere.

It was chilly in here, maybe from the hollow objects that hung on the ceiling. Korekiyo actually was faced against the wall, trapping in as much heat as he can.

"Amami? How can you handle this... cold?"

Rantaro looked over to Korekiyo to see his arms around his chest and knees pressed as close to his chest as he could.

"If you travel as much as me, temperature is nothing but a number."

Korekiyo nodded in understanding

"I am indeed envious of such traits but unfortunately..."

Korekiyo shivered slightly

"I still need a blanket or two to cover myself at night."

Rantaro laughed a little, his friend was way too dramatic at times. Rantaro got up and sat next to Korekiyo.

"Is this better?"

Korekiyo nodded

"Though it was unnecessary, I do appreciate it. I am certainly not in the mood to get a blanket from the dorms."

"I can still get one. You're up for a friend cuddle?"

Korekiyo nodded and smiled, it was even shown by the curving of the zipper on his mask.

Rantaro gave him a small smile and headed for his dorm room. It was very over the top on decor and wall art, it seemed the whole room was a page from a comic book.

He took the largest sheet from his drawer, it was covered in pencil drawn print of leaves and flower petals. It was Korekiyo's favourite blanket that Rantaro brought, he even considered buying it for himself if he had any money saved up.

Rantaro walked back to his lab and sat next to Korekiyo, fitting the blanket over them as they pushed themselves into the corner to make themselves more comfortable.

"How's this?"

"It's exemplary, you even brought my favourite blanket."

"I... remembered that I just washed it and thought why not, right?"

Korekiyo laughed

"I guess so."

Rantaro leaned on Korekiyo's shoulder as they read, it could have been hours, days or even months it didn't matter. Small moments like these could seem like forever, answering questions, laughing at the silly illustrations, anything really.

Rantaro yawned

"You don't mind... If I sleep here?"

"No, not at all."

Rantaro laid his book down and closed his eyes, wrapping his arms around Korekiyo.

"You're the last person I thought to be this comfy."

"It's all just clothing, there is nothing 'comfy' about hugging human skin."

"You such a buzzkill."

"And you never say buzzkill, which means you're very tired."

"Hmm, your right."

In his sleepy haze, Rantaro kissed the side of Korekiyo's forehead and nuzzled into the crook of his neck.

"Good night..."

A light red shade appeared at the hem of Korekiyo's mask, he was lucky Rantaro was asleep. Korekiyo leaned his head against the wall and continued reading, slightly wishing that they were somewhere more private.

4 Hours Later

Korekiyo's head was against the wall, trying to keep his eyes open. Rantaro was still fast asleep with his arms around him, it was a sweet moment between friends.

Korekiyo took Rantaro's phone from his pocket to check the time

"7:30, I expected it to be around midnight."

Korekiyo glanced at Rantaro for a second.

"I guess I can carry him back."

Korekiyo unravelled Rantaro's arm from his waist and lifted him over his shoulder with the blanket on top of him. He then walked to Rantaro's dorm and placed him on his bed with the blanket draped over him.

Korekiyo stretched and yawned

"I *yawn* don't think I'll be a...ble to make it back..."

Korekiyo laid down in drowsiness

"I guess I can nap... for *yawn* a little. Ran won't mind..."
