The genocide has begun, every student still shaken by their current situation. It was absolutely ridiculous, 16 high school students forced to kill each other, trick the others into blaming someone else and leave scott free while the others die. Who couldn't panic about that?
Well, Korekiyo and Rantaro are in the library as calm as sleeping babies but that wasn't the point.
Korekiyo pulled a book out of a lone bookshelf, 'Creation and Disapation. A Complete Guide.' All of the books were written by Monokuma so he doubted it gave any real information.
Rantaro was sitting on one of the tables, twiddling his thumbs. He looked worried, tired and (fine?) at the same time. He must be thinking about something important, memories, his home, wondering if yesterday's dinner was poisoned who knows?
For the past few days, they haven't really left each other even though they really haven't talked to eachother formally yet. It was an understandable phenomenon because of obvious trusting reasons.
Korekiyo paced around the library, looking at his Monopad. It contained basic information about himself as well as notes on his classmates. Rantaro was at the top of his trust list, a close tie with Shuichi while the others are at the dead bottom but that wasn't important at the moment.
He couldn't stop thinking, not only are his thoughts plagued with his sister 'Ultimate Surviour' was at the back of his head. No one was the Ultimate Surviour so why was he thinking about it?
Korekiyo sat down again, maybe he can start an actual conversation! Or he can scare him away, that works too.
"I believe we haven't formally introduced ourseleves. I am Korekiyo Shinguji, Ultimate Anthropologist."
Rantaro looked a slight daze, not surprised or anything.
"I'm Rantaro Amami. Nice to meet you."
"I see you have been thinking alot, is something on your mind?"
Rantaro exhaled slightly, he was surprised at the question.
"Y'know, trying to recall anything useful."
Korekiyo nodded and waved his hand in front of his face.
"It's kind of musty in here. We can talk in the kitchen if you want."
Rantaro nodded and walked towards a bookcase. Reading together wouldn't be a bad idea so Korekiyo left him alone until he heard a loud
'thud'. A metal ball rolled by him while he stood there in complete fear.
Korekiyo rushed over and pulled him under the table, maybe he can protect him from another attack. The door for the library suddenly opened and someone ran in, falling in the process.
"Keep quiet."Korekiyo pulled Rantaro over his shoulder and ran out of the opened door, not even bothering to look at the attacker. He passed by Kaito, Kirumi, Ryoma and still didn't stop to explain.
Korekiyo rushed up to his room and safely laid him on his bed, sitting down to quietly catch his breath.
"Thank you... so m-much... "
Rantaro looked like he was going to cry, if Korekiyo hesitated in anyway, his friend wouldn't be crying in his pillow right now.
"It's really in my best interest, you could've died."
"But you saved me, that deserves at least SOME am-mount of praise."
"Well, just relax. That'll suffice as my 'praise'. "
Rantaro nodded and closed his eyes, taking about 15-20 minutes for him to fully fall asleep. Korekiyo pulled the sheets over Rantaro as best as he can while watching the door, seeing if any of the attackers strike again. For now, he absolutely can not leave Rantaro by himself. He was lucky this time.
