Their basement was clogged with boxes upon boxes of memories left to collect dust.

Rantaro looked inside from time to time, seeing it grow progressively. It always left a smile on his face to see him and his husband had so many momentous items to look upon.

And this would be the day to do so.

He shoveled one of the boxes in the back and placed it on the living room carpet. He wiped it with his palm and opened the flaps, seeing many rocks inside. They were in many different varieties, all beautiful in their own way.

"Wow... I knew I hoarded rocks but not so many." He scratched the back of his neck in embarrassment as he grinned.

"You say that as if you did something wrong." Korekiyo picked up sea glass with a deep blue and ogled at it in amazement, "These are beautiful."

"I guess I had kind of a weird 'treasure sense' when I was younger, but if yout think it's cool, I'm fine with it." He sighed as self reassurance and picked up a less dusty box. It was marked as 'Traveling'. Korekiyo offered to open this one.

"Ah, this is the souvenirs from my travels. Is your box in there?" Korekiyo watched as Rantaro heaved another box with 'Travel Stuff' written on the top.

"Yep! The sad part is that they're kind of dusty. We haven't gone anywhere recently." He dropped it on the ground with care and opened the flaps.

Toys, frames, wristbands littered the majority of both of their boxes. Nostalgia made their hearts beat in that moment. From every travel, from every step, they remembered it all.

Rantaro chuckled, "Wow, it really does come back fast. Didn't even know I had so many wristbands just in a box."

"It appears that I have the same predicament. Though, I find keeping wristbands keeps the authenticity of the place where I got it." Korekiyo took out a gold plastered picture frame from the bottom of the box, feeling the pattern with his thumb.

"Isn't that the frame we got in Thailand from a travel in highschool? I completely forgot about it." Korekiyo nodded. There wasn't even a scratch on it, he'll use it someday.

Korekiyo sifted through the many wristbands and toys to find a special one. The hand sewn doll of Rantaro he made for his birthday but never gave him sat at the corner of the box. This must be the box he used to move out of his dorm in college.

He handled it by the waist and gave it to Rantaro, "Happy 5-year late birthday."

Rantaro giggled at his response, "Where did you buy this? I know we had a Hot Topic section but they didn't sell these."

"Well, it's because I've sewn it myself. I thought it would scare you so I've just kept it."

Rantaro tilted his head slightly as he looked at the cotton doll, "Aw, you really should've. I actually really like it." He kissed the other's temple as he put the doll to the side.

"It's not a big deal now. Don't flatter it as something that is important as of yet."

Rantaro frowned, "As long as you put the thought into it, it is important. And because it's so important, I'm going to save it."

Korekiyo sighed in defeat and smiled, how stubborn. He volunteered to pick up one last box before putting the rest back. He opened the flaps to see roombas stacked on top on each other. Rantaro's heart stopped as his face turned a tomato red.

"I don't recall having these." Korekiyo raised his eyebrow.

"No worries, it's my 'army' from when we roomed in college. You were away at Shuichi's and I needed Kirumi's help to unpackage everything. They're just Roombas I ordered because my room was super messy at the time. Actually..." Rantaro went down at grabbed another box with a few more of the little cleaning robots.

"Here's the rest."

Korekiyo looked at him in slight bewilderment, "Why are there so many?"

"I needed them. That's all I remember."

Korekiyo held his confusion, "But why so many?"

Rantaro wagged his finger as his mouth formed a smirk, "Quiet my love, even I don't know."
