Gilbert's POV

So, today the trip was happening. Which only meant one thing... It was Monday. Oh, and Josie and Anne would be in the same house for two weeks. Great.

"Move it. Queen comes through. Take my bag." said Josie as she pushed a bunch of girls and threw her bag at Charlie. Charlie just simply looked at her bag and threw it on the ground whilst shrugging and walking away. Classic Charlie. I lightly chuckled until I was tangled in a hug.

"Hey beautiful." I said as I hugged Josie back.

"Hey Gil." said Josie with a smile.

"...Great, that's what I'll have to see for two weeks." said Ruby as she walked by us and towards Anne and I let go of Josie.

"I almost fell of the train." said Jerry as he laughed.

"TRINIDAD, HERE WE COME." yelled Anne as she got off the train and run towards the house with everybody following her.

"What kind of place is this?" asked Josie in disgust.

"What did you except it to be? A five star hotel?" asked Billy, sarcastically.

"I was hoping Anne wouldn't be here either. But, we can't have anything, am I right?" said Josie as she encouraged others to agree with her.

"Well, you're standing next to me. So, I guess not." finished Billy with a smirk and a confused Josie.

"Billy..." I said, as I warned him.

Billy just chuckled and raised his hands in defence to which I simply shook my head disapprovingly.

"You told me that honesty is the best answer." said Billy as he chuckled.

"So, it's silence. How about you use that method?" I asked, annoyed at him.

"How about you both stop talking and follow us inside?" said Anne, ending our conflict.

I nodded and followed her inside.

The place was huge. Every wall and every floor was made out of wood. There, was a really comfortable chair... I hope it is, at least. A kitchen, a bookshelf... To which Anne run towards it, as soon as she saw it.

"Jane Eyre. How to kill a mockingbird... Unbelievable." said Anne as her eyes lit up with happiness and awe.

Then, I felt Josie pinching my arm.

"What is it?" I asked, as I looked at her, annoyed with her actions.

"You have been staring at Anne for the past five minutes... Is there something I should know?" asked Josie as she crossed her arms and I gave her a confused look.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, clueless.

"Do you like her or something now?" asked Josie as I stared at her in shock and offense.

"I will never like Anne Shirley-Cuthbert. She shall forever remain my enemy. Until, the very last second of our lives." I said as I looked at Josie.

"Good." said Josie as she gave me a small kiss and left.

I breathed out a sigh of relief and walked outside to come across the last person I wanted to see... Anne. How did she come out so quickly?

"I want to be alone so leave." said Anne, not even bothering to turn around.

"I'm pretty happy with staying here to be honest." I said as I challenged her by sitting down next to her.

"Good for you." said Anne as she didn't pay attention to me whatsoever.

"Yeah..." I said as I nodded awkwardly.

"So, what are your plans for today?" asked Anne and I could tell from her tone that she didn't care one bit.

"Well, it's only ten... So, I guess. Sit down for a while here and stare far across the distance. Go inside and eat, maybe read a book and go for a walk with Josie and then hang out with the boys. What about you?" I asked, curiously.

"I'm staying here for a bit. Trying to make you leave... No offense, or take offense I couldn't care less. Go inside and have lunch. Read Jane Eyre. Try to avoid Josie and hang out with the girls." said Anne as she laid down on the grass and I laid down next to her.

"She is actually really nice if you get to know her." I said, trying to make Josie get on her good side.

"She's dating you so I doubt it." said Anne as she didn't make any sort of eye contact.

"You're just jealous." I said, annoyed.

"Of little miss perfect?" asked Anne sarcastically.

"No... That she actually has someone who loves her, like more than a sister whilst you don't." I said coldly and got up.

Anne stood up as well.

"I rather be alone, than be with someone as fake as your girlfriend." said Anne and she walked away.

Why can't we have a normal conversation for once?

No, fighting.

That just proves, why Anne and I are better of as enemies.

"GILBERT, MY MAN." yelled Charlie as he gave me a fright.

"Why the pouty face?" asked Charlie.

"Another fight with Anne..." I started and someone interrupted me.

"Did you finally realize that you should date her and dumb Josie once in for all?" asked Billy as he joined us.

"It's Gilbert we're talking about." pointed out Charlie.

"Right." said Billy as he nodded in agreement and patted Charlie on the back.

"Thank God, that the guy you're talking about, can't hear what you're saying." I said, sarcastically.

They just smiled innocently and I started to chuckle.

"Hey Gil." said Josie as she joined us and kissed me on the forehead as she basically clinged herself on me.

"Hey beautiful." I said as I hugged her back.

"Hey guys." said Josie as she smiled at them.

"Bye." they said in sync and basically run away.

"Lunch is ready." said Josie as she pulled me next to her and we started walking to our house.

"Good. I'm starving." I said as I walked inside the house and sat down on a chair.

The girls put everything on the table and they sat down.

"This is delicious. Who made it?" I asked delighted by the meal I was having.

"Anne." said Diana, proudly.

"Big deal. Everybody can make French fries with fish." said Josie as she scoffed.

"Well, then... We can't wait to try your meal." said Cole and Josie immediately stopped taking as she glared at him.

I looked down at my meal and started to eat... The rest of lunch, being awfully quiet that day.
