Cade
It's Christmas break, and what did my parents do but dragged us all to a tree lot. While they hunted for the perfect tree, I got the pleasure of watching my siblings. Well, chase them. Ever try to track kids? It's not fun, especially in the snow.
The minute I caught one, the other one took off of me. Thanks, dad's, for this excellent gift of siblings. I finally laid down the law, and Blake kicked me in the shin, motherfricker!
Then, as I was dealing with him, Brooklyn wandered off. Shit, I am so dead. I took Blake and hunted for her. Good thing we went looking because some guy tried to walk off with her. Oh, hell, no.
I beat the hell out of him, "Touch my sister again, and I will bury you, you sick piece of trash," I said as I hit him once more.
Wade and Cole heard the commotion and came running. Wade took care of the two younger ones as Cole took care of me. The dude was lucky it was me and not Cole. Cole has a temper worse than I do.
"Let's get you home and take care of your hand," Cole said to me as I nodded.
Wade looked at the other two. "Promise me you never do that again."
"We promise," they said.
"Come on," Wade said, picking up Brooklyn and walking Blake to the car. I swear my siblings were something else. God helps us when they get older.
Julian
I was helping my parents decorate the tree when I heard a knock at the door. I opened it and rolled my eyes.
"Ho, ho, ho, look what I got," Elias said, flicking mistletoe hanging from a wire from a hat that he is wearing. "Tradition says you must kiss under the mistletoe." He wiggled his eyebrows.
"You're weird," I rolled my eyes.
"Work with me. I'm trying to be fun and romantic since I'm not familiar with being like this. Andi thinks aliens kidnapped me in the middle of the night and replaced me with a clone," he shrugged.
"Cade and she are perfect for each other. They're both nuts," I said as we both laughed.
I leaned in and kissed him. I had to admit it was cute and cheesy.
He came in and removed his hat and coat. He came over and helped us decorate the tree. Well, until we threw tinsel at each other. Dad looked at us and chuckled. Yep, we looked utterly ridiculous, but we had fun.
After decorating the tree, Mom made us hot cocoa. We sat down on the couch, watched Christmas movies as we cuddled with each other, and drank our cocoa.
It took time, but Elias got his head out of his ass. It's about time. I thought he would never get it together. We also made it slow. It was better that way.

Today we were making cookies. Everly was over to help. Mom was particular about the shapes. We just went with it. Dad got scolded when he put a tree with all snowmen.
"Antonio!" Mom yelled at Dad.
"What?" He asked her.
"You know that you can't have one shape different from the rest. All the shapes must be the same," Mom told Dad. Everly and I sat there watching my parents.
"Rain, it's fine," he reasoned.
"No, let me show you," she said as she removed the tree and replaced it with a snowman. "That's much better than having the wrong shapes together. I don't understand why people think it's okay to mix shapes. It's not. Everything belongs with their group," she told us.
I smiled as Dad sighed.
"I'm sorry, honey," Dad apologized.
"Just remember to put all the same shapes together, and there won't be any more problems," she told him. Yeah, with autism, they group certain things. For Mom, Christmas cookies were a particular nuisance.
After that, Dad made sure he didn't make the mistake of messing up shapes. For someone married for a while to Mom, you would think he would know these things.
After cookies, Everly and I went into my room. I was working on a Christmas gift for my parents. It was something special for them. Everly was helping me with it.
Christmas arrived, and everyone celebrated with their families, opening gifts. Wade and Cole went overboard with their kids. It was like Toys R. Us at their house. Even Cade made out like a bandit, plus he was spending time with Andi later at our home.
Julian got memorable gifts from his parents. They had a simple Christmas, which is what he always preferred. Yeah, I think he was weird.
At my house, Mom always woke me up before the sun came up. Dad laughed, watching us tear into our gifts. Yeah, Christmas was our favorite holiday.
Later on, I would give my parents their present.
Everyone came over for dinner and spent Christmas together. Grandma Natalie came with my grandparents. It was nice to have her here with us. I know she was missing Grandpa Luke as the rest of us was. She even got to meet Blake and Brooklyn.
After dinner, we all gathered into the living room. I had my parents sit down as I sat in front of them while everyone gathered around.
"Enzo, what's going on bud," Dad asked me worriedly.
"I have a present for you both. Everly helped me. I hope you like it," I signed.
They looked at me as I took a deep breath then I opened my mouth, and in a deaf voice, I said, "Merry Christmas Mom and Dad."
They looked at me, stunned, as did everyone else. I looked at my parents. My heart was beating so fast.
"Enzo, you spoke," Mom exclaimed.
"Yes," I spoke again.
"Oh, my god! Antonio! He spoke!" She yelled as I smiled.
"Repeat something," Dad said to me.
"I love you," I said as he broke down and cry.
Mom hugged me as I hugged her back. I looked at Everly, and she smiled as I smiled back. Once Dad got his composure, he hugged me.
Then he pulled back. "That's the best Christmas present ever," he signed.
"I thought so," I said in my deaf voice as I grinned. While most would think it wasn't a big deal, it was to us. My parents never heard my voice. They never listened to my cries, laughter, or any sound from me.
For them to hear, my voice was a precious gift. My family smiled as they looked at me. I wanted to give them something they didn't have. I wanted them to hear me even when I couldn't listen to them.
