chapter 19

merillyn's p.o.v:

I heard the alarm clock ring, which made me groan. but I didn't mind it. Nor did I shut it.

after for about 20-30 minutes, I finally decided to wake up. I stretched, yawned, then,

freaked out.

"seriously?!?!" I shouted.

when I tried to jump out of bed, I suddenly got tangled with the blanket.

can this day get any worse at all ?!?!?

I struggled to get out and finally did. I went to the bathroom in a rush, washed my face and went to the closet to get my uniform. after that, I immediately went out the house. "bye mom and dad. love you!"

I didn't bother to listen since I was already late. like really late.

after a few minutes, I arrived at school. "oh no." I mumbled.

suddenly, I heard a teacher, probably scolding a student why they were late.

instead of going through the entrance, I decided to go over a wall and go in through the window. I don't want to be in trouble.

I opened the window and jumped over. after that, I looked at my both sides and saw no one.

then, I proceeded to the classroom.

I closed my book and put it in my bag.

"so much of not getting caught..." I thought.

"hey, Merillyn, is it okay for you to go to the gym to watch me practice?" I heard zach ask.

I turned to his direction and said "sure but could I bring Cally along?"

"yeah!" he said with a smile. and then, he left.

seriously, he's so cheerful.

I suddenly felt a gaze at my back.

I sighed, already tired of him always looking at my direction. "what do you want?" I asked frustrated.

he didn't answer. he just left with his best friend, Chris, for lunch.

after lunch, came the afternoon session and after that, Cally and I went to the gym.

I opened the door to the gym and there revealed the whole basketball team players playing.

Zach was also there, sweating really hard. I observed him then, sooner and later, he ran pass his teammates with him dribbling the ball and dunked.

"nice job, Zach!" his teammates shouted. some were cheering. then, I  heard some girls squealing.

when Zach landed on the ground, he turned to those girls, smiled and waved. the girls squealed, filling the whole gym.

"wow.. Jazz sure is famous..." I heard Cally. I looked at her, and there revealed a light pink blush. I looked at where she was looking, and saw a boy with red hair. he smiled at his teammates and gave them a high five. it seems like he's the cheerful type.

"you like him, don't you?" I asked, looking at Cally.

she turned to me and denied it. "w-what?! what are you t- talking about?! that's nonsense!" she said fast.

I raised a brow at her after a few minutes, she admitted defeat. "okay.... i- yeah.. I do like him..." she hid her flushed face and then, went to the other side of where the seats were, sat down, leaned on the wall behind her, and then, hugged her knees.

I chuckled a bit, sat beside her and said. "hey.. it's okay. you can't stop your feelings anyway." I smiled at her and she started to smile a bit.

"so, why do you like him?" I asked.

she hid her face behind her knees and began, "it started at the last year of my middle school."

(Jazz is a cheerful and happy guy. every girl would fall for him. he dated a lot of girls but realized that none of them was his type)

but let's see for the next chapter if he finally finds that girl;)
