Peter was not good with girls, at all. The only girl he could somewhat socialize with was MJ, and she was a dick. Girls are just, I dunno, too nice to him? It honestly didn't start until Mr. Stark had to drop him off right in front of the school, unlike a block away like they planned. Everyone had seen him step out of this fancy car with a scowl on his face. The first girl was Lily. Peter was at his locker when it happened, grabbing his books for the next class and chatting with Ned.
"Um, Peter?" he heard a mumble, normally it would be difficult to hear in the crowded hallway, but, you know, powers 'n stuff. Peter turned to face her with a smile. He shut his locker and gave her his full attention. He didn't miss the blush that covered her face when he turned to her.
"Uh, yes? Lily, is it?" He asked. He saw her blush deepen and was instantly confused.
"Y-you're really cute," she said quickly before running away. Peter stood there, stunned for a second. Ned's laughter brought Peter back from his thoughts. He turned to his friend, blushing.
"Did, did that just..." Ned laughed louder. Skdvjklvdaakjlvjhvjhv;a :)
That very same day in English, Peter was doodling on his paper while his head rested in his hand. Suddenly, a note was placed on his desk. With a sigh, he opened it up. Inside, it read.
Hi Peter! I really like you, like a lot. Will you date me?
Yes
No
-Jessica
Peter closed his eyes and breathed out. What is up with these girls? He picked up the pencil he was doodling with and began to write.
Jessica, I think you're very nice an all, but dating isn't something I'm ready to do yet, sorry.
With that, he passed it back to the person next to him, who had given him the note in the first place. Will this day get normal, ever? True to his Parker Luck, another girl had come up to him, but she didn't say anything. She walked in front of him, stopped, blushed deeply, then ran away. Peter looked around confusedly for a good minute before leaving the school. As soon as Tony saw the look on his kid's face, he knew something was up.
"What's got your panties in a twist, huh?" Peter blushed at the comment.
"Girls have been flirting with me all day Mr. Stark," Tony let that slide because the kid was obviously distressed, no matter how funny it was to him.
"Flirt back," Tony said while taking a turn, not even sparing a glance at Peter. He just knew that Peter wore a horrified face.
"Mr. Stark, they're girls. They're like, a whole new species dude. Not everyone has your skills," Peter huffed out and leaned back into the seat. Tony hummed, eyebrows raised in amusement, and a smirk on his face.
"Well, you are quite the looker,"
"Mr. Stark pleeaassee," Peter was practically begging him at this point. Tony simply rolled his eyes before rolling to a stop at the traffic light.
"Okay, so the problem you're having, is that people like you?" Tony asked teasingly. Peter sighed heavily.
"Yes," Tony grinned. God, he was having too much fun with this kid. Peter grumbled a bit before turning away and looking out the window.
The next day was worse. This whole thing continued on for the whole week, until Friday came around. A girl bound up to him, blushing already. Peter internally groaned, but smiled at her nonetheless.
"You're so hawt," she gushed. Peter blanked out for a second before.
"I'm gay," God, he hadn't even meant to say it. Now the whole school thinks that Peter is gay, but he totally definitely does not have a crush on a shy girl in the back of the class... noooooo. Yeah, he's not sure if he's 100% straight, but who is, really?
And so, when Peter climbed into the back of the car, instead of the front, and just flopped down, Tony knew that something hilarious had happened.
"Spill the tea, sister," Tony said as he pulled out. He heard shuffling and assumed Peter sat up. With a glance in the rear view mirror, his suspicion was confirmed.
"Please don't ever say that again Mr. Stark,"
"Mkay, fair enough, but what's got you like this kid?" Tony sympathised. Oh yeah, he was definitely not going to stop saying that. Peter looked at him in the mirror with puppy eyes before responding.
"I accidentally told the entire school that 'm gay," he mumbled. Tony had a look of shock. Peter was quick to clarify.
"I'm not tho. I'm just tired of the girls. Well, I'm not sure if I'm completely straight but I know I'm not completely gay, so that's different right? Please say something to stop my rambling," Tony didn't say anything. Instead, he opted to laugh. Peter raised his shoulders in an effort to hide himself.
"You- You told the school that you're gay just so the girls would stop hitting on you?" Tony wheezed out. He had to pull into a parking lot quickly.
"I- Yes, I just said that," Peter mumbled. God, he was never gonna live this down...
