"I never took you as the kind of girl to go behind people's backs and do exactly what they told you not to do," she states.
"If I recall correctly, you didn't take any time to get to know me before you judged me," I retort.
"My son was never like that until you came along."
I kept my mouth shut, glaring coldly at her.
"I just want to thank you, Marriya," she says. "You gave Ross something to fight for. He was lost, and you brought him back."
"Umm... you're welcome?"
"You and Ross have all of our blessings in your relationship," she assures me. "But just know one thing, Sweetie. Love is like a rubber band, with both of you on opposite ends. If one lets go, it hurts the other. Please don't let go."
"I won't," I promise.
As we walk back to Mark, Cheryl, and George, I feel my phone buzz.

It's been 4 days, and I haven't left my room besides getting food from the kitchen. Until now, I didn't realize I had no friends apart from those 5 crazy boys and Rydel.
Sighing, I log into Twitter for the umpteenth time that day.
"@Ratliffr5: Sold Out in NYC baby! Gonna get crazy!"
"@Rydelr5: NEW YORK CITAAAY!! Who's ready to partay!?!?"
"@Rossr5: Even the lights in this city don't compare to the ones in your eyes ✨❤"
"@Marriyar5: @Rossr5 14 days, 9 hours, 29 minutes, and 51 seconds"
"@Rossr5: @Marriyar5 counting the seconds ❤"
"@Rockyr5: @Rossr5 @Marriyar5 till what detonation??!"
"Marriya," Cheryl calls, rapping lightly on the door.
"Come in!"
After pushing the door open, she moves to sit on the edge of my bed.
"Morning," I yawn.
"Marriya, it's noon," she says softly.
"Oh."
"You need to get up and put of the house. Rydel and the boys will be back in two weeks but until then, you need to keep going with your life."
Sighing loudly, I eventually reply, "I guess you're right."
Two hours later I am showered, dressed, and walking into the nearest Starbucks I am able to find.
After waiting in the ridiculously long line to place my order, I slip into the last empty booth in the packed restaurant.
"Marriya," an employee calls out from behind the counter.
Upon returning with my drink, I find a pretty, familiar looking girl sitting at my booth.
"Oh, I'm so sorry," she says. "Were you sitting here?"
"Yeah, but it's alright," I assure her.
"Why don't you sit down with me?" She offers, motioning for me to take the seat across from her.
It's something about the way she smiles, the sound of her voice, the way her blond hair falls so effortlessly on her shoulders that I just have to ask, "Is your name Emily?"
"Yeah, how did you know?"
I am tempted to lie and say I read it on the side of her cup, but me and her both know its something more then that.

Ross' PoV
The Boston meet and greet is just beginning, and I'm already appalled. Don't these girls understand I'm in a relationship now?
"Please, get off of me," I tell a tall dark haired girl who attempts to kiss me again.
"Why?" She purrs.
"Because I have a girlfriend," I state.
"Well that stupid slut isn't here," she argues.
"And yet," Rocky cuts in. "She is still closer to getting in his pants then you are."
"You were way more fun when you were single," she scoffs, strutting away loudly.
The feeling of disgust churning deep in my gut never truly disappears, but it lessens drastically as I watch two young girls run up holding a homemade birthday card for Ratliff between them.
"12 days, 16 hours, 8 minutes, and 2 seconds," I murmur to myself.

Okay guys I know that chapter wasn't great and I'm sorry. I kept rewriting it and I was making no progress. I wish I could come up with something better, but it just wasn't happening.
Either way, let me know what you thought of it. I love hearing from you guys and reading everything you have to say. It really brightens my day when I see you all are enjoying my stories 😊
Love you all,
