Rydel's POV
"So," Joslyn pauses, before asking the question we've all been dreading. "What does this mean for the future of R5?"
"It means that we're going to do what we need to. We're a family first and a band second, and the fans know that. We're going to keep making music and playing live as much as we can. This isn't the end of R5, you haven't even seen the best of us yet. This is just another obstacle we have to overcome, but we're going to do it together and together we can make it through anything," Rocky answers, giving my hand a gentle squeeze.
"That's something I think your fans will agree with me when I say it is fantastic. Now, Rydel, this ones for you. What kind of treatment plan are you on? The traditional route for dealing with some of these things might not work with you being pregnant, so have you set up a separate plan of action?"
"Actually, Joslyn, I've made the decision to not take treatment," I reply.
"And why is that?" she asks, doing her best to hide her completely aghast reaction.
"Because in the end it won't be enough. Nothing will ever be enough to save me, and taking treatment we mean losing my baby. Yeah, it'll tack a few more years onto my life, but that's not what I want. By age 21 I have lived such a full life and I am so blessed to be able to have done what I have. I'm going to be gone in the end anyways, and I'd rather leave my family with a piece of me forever than live a little longer just waiting to die. I'm picking quality of life over quantity of life, and both myself and my family understand exactly what that means for me."
"Wow," Joslyn murmurs. "I just... I don't even... wow."
Our blank stares mindlessly meet each other; silence lingers between us all. Joslyn is in such a state of shock that she can't form a sentence, leaving the rest of us to figure out what to say.
"But, overall, my relationship with Rydel has been everything I could have asked for. I don't know how much time I'll get with her, but I'll never take a second for granted. Through everything that's happened, we're okay. I know it seems like everything else isn't, but we are."
"When exactly did you figure out you loved each other?" Joslyn asks; thankfully catching on to what Ratliff had started.
"I can just remember always liking Ellington," I reply. "Like I don't think there was a specific day that it happened, there was always just this feeling inside of me."
"I agree with that," he adds. "You can't spend your entire lives together and not end up falling for each other in the end."
"But you had a boyfriend a while back that was not Ellington, correct?"
"Yeah, you're right. I really wish I had come clean and told Ellington how I felt before all of that happened. It was a big mistake, but I've managed to find my happily ever after."
"That is so cute. What do you do when you two have a fight?" Joslyn questions.
"It doesn't happen often, which is great, but when it does, it definitely phases me. Like every couple, we disagree about things. We're both really stubborn and neither of us want to back down. Sometimes all I want to do is be right, but, much like Chuck Bass, my heart always says, 'stop being an idiot and forget your pride'. I just have to remember that I really love this girl, and I love her more than being right. Losing an argument, to me, is so much easier than losing her. It very rarely turns into a real fight, though. Most times we can talk it out before it gets there."
"I've heard a lot of love stories, but yours might be my favourite," Joslyn grins. "Anyway, that's all the time we have today. Make sure to tune in next week! I'm Joslyn Davis, and you're watching Clevver TV."/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\
Ellington's POV
I wake in the middle of the night to a sound that makes my heart drop to my stomach. Rydel screaming in pain.
Shooting up, I blink rapidly in attempt to adjust my eyes to the lack of light. Letting out agonized whimpers; she thrashes violently around under the blankets. Tears stream down her face, and the look on her face leads me to believe she's struggling to breath.
"Del, what's wrong?" Riker cries, bursting through the door.
Marriya, surrounded by the rest of the Lynch boys, huddle in the door frame.
It's the middle of the night, but everyone looks wide awake.
"Hospital. Now," Rydel moans.
Immediately, everyone begins to move. Scooping her up in my arms, I take off down the stairs. In less than a minute, all seven of us are piled into the van. Rocky backs out quickly before speeding towards the hospital as fast as the vehicle will allow.
Rydel lays across my lap; our fingers weakly intertwined. Her breathing is shallow and uneven, but I thank God she's still here. I can't lose her now. It's too soon.
We arrive at the hospital in record time; pulling up directly outside of the Emergency room.
The second the receptionists catch sight of us, she pages for doctors to come immediately. Multiple men run out, pushing a wheelchair with them. They all start yelling orders at each other; one of them taking Rydel from my arms. After laying her in the wheelchair, they all return back down the hallway they came from.
A heavy silence blankets the room; no one knowing the right thing to say. Is there even a right thing to say when you watch a girl you love be taken by doctors, knowing very well that could have been the last time you will ever seen her alive?/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\
Hey guys! So I'm sorry for the short chapter, but I felt like I needed to put something up. I'm just not in a good place right now and my writing isn't turning out at all. Anyway, I hope to have something more and something better for you soon.
So I haven't done these for a while, but my book recommendation for this chapter would be "The 25 Hunger Games" but kJotopolopoulos . It is an amazing read and it actually made me cry at the end. It's totally brilliant and anyone who likes the hunger games should check it out!
Anyway, if you enjoyed, please vote and comment!
Thank you all for your endless support and love. It means everything to me
