Travis pov
"She's perfectly fine. She must've had a panic attack, that must've scared the poor girl." a guy jumps from the ambulance. A lot of ambulance's and police were at the scene, the news was here as well. I pulled my hoodie over on my head and shoved my hands in my pocket, "Man what was that about?" Dominic speaks out, "Why are you asking me that? You're acting like I did this?" "No I didn't mean it like that"
"Travis, she'll be fine. I'm pretty sure its just like he said." Louis quickly changes the subject.
I was staring at the open ambulance truck, Dominic and Louis must've noticed. A lot of people got hurt or maybe even killed tonight, but how did a shooting with a gang happen at a club? Usually things like that happen in more private places.
"Travis?" I didn't answer back. I looked at the medics continuously, then the short figure hopped out of the truck. She walked up a bit then looked around and saw me, "D-" I didn't even get to say her name all the way, she ran to me and pulled me into a death hug around my waist, I bent down a bit as she went into my shoulder crying. That's the first time she hugged me, I never seen her like this before, compared to the quiet and reserved Diane.
Either way I'm just overjoyed she's okay. In contrast to the bitter cold of the night, I could feel the warmth from her jacket. Then two more joined in the moment. Weird how we almost barely knew each other and we're already close.
(weird is good)

Diane pov
All four of us sat on the sidewalk edge in silence as people, police and medics passed by. There was nothing to talk about. What would there to be talking about when a shooting just happened? This is the exact reason why I don't go to parties, I'll just listen to my heart next time. I thought this would be a good experience but it was totally different this time. I have no idea how many people was shot, or injured, but I was almost one of them by being trampled over people.
I looked up at Travis, who had a blank look on his face, it was like he was thinking of something, he cheeks has a slight rosy hue from the cold. Then Dominic on the phone with someone, and Louis fiddling with his jacket sleeves. I sighed, seeing my breath take the form of small fog that quickly went away. I looked up at the dark sky, just a few thin clouds. I saw the moon and I smiled a little, waxing gibbous, near full moon. I looked up and spotted a few constellations and stars, Vega, Sirius.
I felt a sudden cold feeling on my face, I wiped my face, feeling wet tears on my hand. I took out my phone, and couldn't even turn it on- dead. Why at this time did my phone try me?! My gramma and grandpa must be worried sick about me! They're probably thinking that I'm dead!! "Diane Moore? Is there a Diane Moore around here?" someone calls my name, I stood up and walked over to the policeman calling for me.
"Diane Moore?" I nod, "Your grandparents are here to see you" I saw both of them run over to me. I never knew they had that ability to run that fast, I was grabbed into a death hug.
"Diane!" my gramma sobs into my shoulder, "I'm right here! I'm not hurt! I-I"
"Diane, don't ever scare me like that again!!" she grips my shoulders, her eyes look into mine, fat tears running down her face. "Are you sure you're okay?! You better not be hidin' nothing from me! I'll know-" "Gramma! I'm fine! If was shot, I woulda been in the hospital! Besides Travis pulled me out-" I stop realizing I said too much.
"Travis?" both gramma and grandpa ask at the same time, gramma lets go of me. I look behind me, not seeing Dominic or Louis there, but Travis slumped against the building of the Frontier. "Come on"
"What?"
gramma walks onto the sidewalk, "Well we need to see who saved our little girl" grandpa follows in, I sigh, following them. "Are you Travis?" we all approach him. The first thing I looked at was the height. My gramma and I are the same height, I looked at the comparison, am I that small?! Travis was taller than my grandpa too! "Yes ma'am"
"I wanted to thank you for saving her life, she wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you. We're her grandparents. You have no idea how thankful we are!" "Well that's what friends are for" Travis eyes me. I was a bit embarrassed, by the situation. "Oh you're both friends?" grandpa elbows me playfully, "About time, Diane!" gramma smiles, then looks up at Travis, "This thang here is the shiest person out there, she never talks to anybody. She's too much into those planets and stuff" gramma smiles at me, "Really? Diane isn't that shy at school."
Travis tell me where you get these social skills bruh. I take notes. "She's a fierce one." I yawn, "Gramma I'm getting tired!"
"Fine! Fine. She's getting embarrassed now, but before we go, may I ask how tall are you? I never see tall guys in this area" "Taller than me." grandpa comments, yawning as well. "6'7."
"Really? Wow! No wonder I be seeing all them girls chase after you." she jokes, making Travis laugh a bit. "You do look like someone I seen at that school before. Middleton....Dr. Sanchez, the uh, principal of that school? You look just like him a bit" gramma asks. Oh boy, another hour in the cold, until I freeze to death. "Actually, I'm his son"
"*gasp* You are? No wonder!! Boy I shoulda known! The eyes threw me off! You have some gorgeous eyes by the way"
"Thank you. Everyone notices them for some reason" he does a closed mouth smile.
"But anyway, we need to go now, its getting late, and colder out here" grandpa adds in, "You're right John. We'll get the flu like this. Its nice seeing you Travis, tell Dr. Sanchez I said hey!"
"I will ma'am. Gracias"
