I couldn't stop thinking about him.
Her brown eyes, that somewhat had a darkness in them, like a storm waiting to clear up.
His green eyes, filled with life and a hint of hurt.
Her smooth, freckled skin.
His sun-kissed skin.
The way her cheeks were a slight pink
The way his face had a dusting of blush across his nose.
Her hair made her look somewhat younger.
I can still feel the tickles and gentle brushes of his hair against my face.
(AT NIGHT I THINK OF YOUUUUU, I WANT TO BE YOUR LA-)
"DIANE!"
I look up suddenly at the teacher, hearing a few laughs "What is the subject of this sentence here on the board?" "....The fox?" "Good. What is the article of the sentence?" "The" "Pay attention next time" and she continued with the lesson. Did I just fall asleep? Ugh, I have a headache.
I had this headache since this morning..... the peppermint oil didn't work. I couldn't stop thinking about him, no matter what I was doing, whether it was writing, or notes, I found myself doodling.
I didn't have a good rest last night, I was tired all this morning, and had a headache. Peppermint oil usually works for me, but not this time. The lights made it worse as well. I raised my hand. "Yes?" "I need to go to the nurse"
"Hold on" she goes to her desk, writes a pass and gives it to me. "Bring your things with you just in case" she says to me, "Hope you get better" she goes back to the board and continues the lesson. (D I'm bout to make that headache of yours worse with my hand and a Nike sandal)
I packed up my things, and went out of the classroom, "Get better, D" a class mate whispers as I pass by, "Thanks" I walk out of the classroom and went on my way to the nurse, "Ow..." I place my hand on my forehead.🍫🌮🍫🌮🍫🌮🍫🌮🍫🌮🍫🌮🍫🌮
"It seems, you have a fever, Diane" the nurse says, throwing the disposable plastic thermometer cover away in the trash can "I do?" I yawn. "Have you been like this all day?" she asks. "Yes, I'm really tired as well. I accidentally fell asleep in class too..." "That sounds unlike you, do you have any congestion? Areas that feel packed or such?"
"My chest feels a little tight" "Hm, I believe you have a cold, I had a few students go home today because of it. And I recommend that you call your family to pick you up early today" she explains. "Why?" "Diane, your fever is almost to 100. There is no way that you can go through the rest of the school day like this" "But I'll miss class!" I say. "Diane, you can always catch up tomorrow." she assures "...Okay." I sigh in defeat.
