Val's pov
I was sitting on a sofa doing my homework in one of the living rooms- the one closest by the front door. The door opened as my brother came in and closed the door. Has he been working out again? "Where were you-" I stop in mid sentence, "I think I know already" I go back to doing my homework, "No it wasn't that- well kinda a bit, but it's a long story, I think it's best if you talk to Diane about it"
"Well okay then, is she alright?"
"Si(yes)"
"*ahem* I have some news for you.." I find myself to bring up the news. While Travis was gone, I got a phone call from the university I wanted to attend to. It's basically an acceptance call.
"What is it?"
"Well one of the colleges and universities I applied to gave me a call and... I was accepted to Eisenhower University" he turned to look at me for a few seconds and ran to give me a suffocating embrace. "That's amazing Val!!!"
"I know I know! Now put me down- you're sweaty, unless you want to give me $1,500 for another suit!" in an instant he quickly places me down, "...That's not all... it's just that Eisenhower is not in the United States. It's back in Mexico"
"And you're going?"
"Yes."
"(つ﹏<。)....."
"Stop giving me that look, you're a big boy" I laugh at his reaction. "I wouldn't be here if it were not for these extra classes I'm taking at Prescott"
"I just- I'm not used to being here by myself"
"WOW look at the bad boy being a soft person now"
"I'm not soft (¬､¬)"
I poke his cheek. "You are for Diane, surprisingly. Unlike the other one"
"To be honest you didn't really like Margarette at all" he replies.
"Because you saw what happened when you didn't listen to your big sister in the first place. Unlike her, Diane is a genuine adorable person."
"Yeah you act like she's your little sister"
"Because she is! I mean you should've seen her in the fur I bought her! She looked so cute in it!! You know it's pretty tiring having a lazy brother all the time"
"Lazy out of all things?"
"School then home, then do whatever-unless it's a photo shoot"
"You forgot to add 'half depressed slob' "
"Can you stop beating yourself down for once?! Listen, I know I shouldn't have bought a house this big but I really bought it for you to stay in-unless you want to move out that is. I'm gonna be over the border for like a whole four years unless I come by to visit during holiday breaks. I know you can do this Travis. You can have all the parties you want or whatever."
