Christmas Eve

Travis' pov

I'm already exhausted. It's only been one day.  But at least somehow we had an unexpected snow storm that hit us. It's barely any snow in this part of Mexico. But where my grandparents are at, we're in the mountains a bit. We all woke up to snow falling down outside, early this morning. Plus it's Christmas, so that made it even better. "Travisssss, look, can't you believe it?!" Val looks through the window with many others. I could see from the back perfectly.

One thing I love about being tall. "Yeah most definitely" I yawn. A lot of the kids wanted to go outside, and some of us teens and young adults wanted to check the snow out too. To be honest I wanted to check it out too, the last time it snowed here around the holidays I visited here..... was when I was maybe 7 or 8? Other than that, it was cold dry or wet air. "Looks like Santa has been really good to us this year huh?" someone says. Some people hurried to go and get dressed. I slipped on my fur coat and my green beanie hat, and slid on some socks, boots, and gloves.

Some adults went outside to the huge snow covered back yard, most didn't and decided to talk and hangout with the others instead on the back porch.  I went outside, and did some exploring myself. Only me, myself and I knows how bad I wanted to smoke a blunt right now.

I saw Marco talking with some of the guys, I smiled mischievously to myself. The snow is soft and powdery too. Perfect hehe. I made the fattest snow ball I could in my gloved hands and made my way through running kids and people playing and goofing off. I tip toed my way through almost close enough to Marco. He had on a red and white varsity jacket that had a fur trimmed hood attached to it, some sweats and boots. No hat? Even better, just his curly ramen noodle looking hair.

I snuck up on him, and swiftly stuffed the fat snowball in his hoodie and shoved the snow filled hoodie on his head. "?!"

"OHHH!" "Travis HAHA!" the whole group was having a fit of laughter. Marco says nothing surprisingly, he slowly turns around to me with the murderous look on his face . I dashed off, and he ran after me, "YOU ASKED FOR IT! GET OVER HERE YOU MOTHER( of pearl hehe)!" I suddenly forgot that Marco played football. The other guys chased after Marco to watch what would happen. I get tackled to the snow and we both wrestled in the snow shoving snow in each others face. My hat flew off, and the whole time giggled like a girl, and laughed while Marco got more annoyed by the second.

We all went inside to warm up in the living room, and people began opening their presents, showing everyone what they got.  There were photo albums being borrowed and passed around. Abuela loved taking photos and pictures, I managed to get one and look through it with Val and dad. Many of the photos in this one were of abuela and abuelo when they were younger. "Man, you and abuelo look alike dad" Val says, "Don't remind me of it again." he replies yawning. As dad gets older he looks like abuelo more but right now he looks like a younger version of him. Vals dark brown hair and eyes, look just like abuela's.
