Travis pov
I couldn't sleep that night. The thought haunted me of what happened the other week. Diane was in a place she never belonged to, and worse could've came up. Just seeing the extreme worry and fear on her face there, being there by herself, all alone. When I just started talking to her, she never had a smile on her face, only a small one but not much. Her eyes had some light in them but were dull, a lot of hurt and pain in them.
She was quiet and never said a word to anyone. I wanted to talk to her and see if I could make her talk, and Mr. Keith's partner project was the perfect opportunity. The way she explained the planets were fascinating. She knew more about this subject than the whole class, even told me some things I never knew. I wanted to know more about her, she was such a mystery, a mystery I wanted to solve. (wanna scooby snack travis?◉‿◉)
I was told about her friend, and I talked to her, and got her number. Even when I saved her life, something I didn't know made me feel different about her. She almost killed herself and told no one.
She lived with that for who knows how long, and she needed someone to spill it out to. My thoughts stopped, feeling her rustle in her sleep.
"n-no....don't leave me.......n-no! i didn't do it!" I raise up a little in question, as her voice started to break, her breathing- is she hyperventilating?! "Diane!" I shook her awake, I shook her a few more times and she sat up, taking a gasp of air, catching her breath. I quickly sat up with her. "I'm here right?"
"Yes! It's fine, everything will be alright!" I comfort her.
She reached her hand for me, as her warm hand met with my face. She sighed in relief, as a tear dropped from her face. "I....couldn't get out. I just panicked" she mumbles. I held both of her hands as she looked up at me.
"Diane, I'm right here....you don't need to be scared anymore...you can tell me anything and I won't run away" I lean closer to her face, and pressed my lips against hers before I knew it.
I was being careful, knowing how I could easily get carried away from previous experiences. But then it started, before both of us knew it. Our fingers interlocked, we both were communicating, but we had no idea what was going to approach next. Obviously Diane did because she pulled away first "This ain't your room you know" "It's a guest room for a reason~" "Travis!" .
