Travis' pov
We both came back to school, seeing police cars. walking in the entrance, hearing multiple loud conversations from classes that filled the halls. "That's them!! Travis! Diane!!" I hear the familiar rich voice of the one and only librarian, Mrs. A. She stood in the door way, leaning against the open door. "You should've seen it!! I can't believe that man!!! He had THE nerve!!!" she crosses her arms, the upset look on her face. "What's going on?" I ask. Diane was confused as well. "Your father Travis...he was...arrested" my eyes widened, Diane looked up at me. "We heard Diane on the other side and we looked at the footage. It was quite shocking."
Was that the reason Diane was yelling? So everyone could hear her on the other side? That's a clever one. I love it when she's smart like this. "Diane. Would you like to go back to class?" she asks her, knowing of her condition, Diane nods. Then Mrs. A looks at me, "You already know I'm for it!" I smile, giving a little comic relief to others. "Alright we're in 4th period as of now. See you then. And don't talk to anyone about what just happened."

4th period
Diane's pov
Everyone asked me a lot of questions-the principal was arrested. This was a class I also had with Mel. I simply said I was okay, and everything was fine. "I heard the police was up there what was that about?!" Mel asks a loud to someone else, "Didn't you hear?! Dr. Sanchez was arrested! They won't tell anyone!" they answer. A few look at me, "That's what the news is for" I lay back in my chair, crossing my arms.
"Is Travis okay?!"
"Yeah is the cinnamon roll alright?!"
"Yes he's okay." I sigh.
Thankfully the bell rung, and it was time for me to have lunch. I got up, and decided to go to the cafeteria. "Diane!" I heard a voice I look behind me, then the voice was close to me suddenly, I whip me head around, seeing Melanie Harrison.
"What?"
"Can I talk to you, please?" she asks.
"Don't you have class right now?" I ask back.
"He won't care, I want to at least have a good end with you-"
"It's been what you want the whole time. You wanted me to be near Travis, and you was the very reason I was in the hospital. So how about make it about how I want it this time? I want you to stay out of my life, if you want us to be on good ends so bad."
"Diane, you're right and I-"
"Sorry isn't going to cut it this time Mel. You used me, it blew up in your face and I got over it. I think it's time that we actually move on."
"Dianeeeee" Flora notices me, but stops seeing Mel, "I'll see you in a bit Flora" I say to her as she nods, understanding the situation and went on to the cafeteria. She was the girl that spoke to me in the cafeteria way back.
I turn back to Mel, "Diane, I get it! I was being stupid the whole time just because there was some celebrity here going to school with us and I let that get to my head! I wasn't thinking that you was a person and I pushed my respect for you to the side the moment I was star struck by him like all of these other girls around him! I thought Travis would notice me beside you, he did but I seen him fell for you Diane!!! I felt that it was unfair he liked a girl that was almost under half his size, doesn't talk, and don't even like him back, over a cheerleader!" her voice was beginning to break, looking and kept walking on to class.
"Mel-"
"I admit it Diane! I was jealous of you. Ever since he was talking to you and you started opening up to him, then the festival- I felt like you was going to ditch me for Travis!" her voice breaks and immediately her glassy eyes overflown with crystal tears that splashed onto the white hard-tile floor.
She covered her mouth, looking to the floor as her brown hair covered her face. She pushed her hair behind her ear, looking back at me, as her freckles on her cheeks were accompanied with a dust of rosy pink along with her soaking wet lashes and tears.
"I'm...I'm sorry Diane. I'm not trying to be back friends for popularity, I know Valeria, Louis and Dominic are mad at me, even Travis. I'm ashamed at how I was acting." she sobs, taking short breaths of air.
"Melanie, you're not the only one. I guess I was going at you too-at the mall and I'm sorry." I say as the late bell had rung "We can talk later in gym. It's going to take me a bit to comprehend this....." "....Alright."
