Ebony's pov
Deja and I decided to take Diane around town for a little bit of shopping. I mean fixing her up could maybe make her change her attitude on life. The past few years, she was a bit plain Jane with her fashion, dressing up every so often.
Diane can be plain when she wants to, "I don't feel like shopping!" she whines, "You don't like shopping period" Deja comments as we went into a store. "Choose an outfit that would at least flatter yourself upon returning to school, ya know? New year, new you?" I smirk.
"Can I just wear some jeans and a sweater?"
"You mean almost wearing all black? No. Just try not to wear the hoodie for the day or week"
"Yeah, I'm not doing this"
"Aw come on Diane, don't be a party pooper!" I sigh, grabbing an outfit I put together for her, a navy turtle neck dress, and black leggings. "Add some jewelry and matching boots, and this will look amazing on you."
"No." she turns, looking through a clothes rack, "Well you knew she was gonna say that, Ebony, you know she a tomboy"
"I tried." I put the clothes back in defeat. After looking through the store, we all found some things that we agreed on.🍫🌮🍫🌮🍫🌮🍫🌮🍫🌮🍫🌮🍫🌮

After Christmas break
SchoolLunch
Travis' pov
"I haven't seen them at all! But I heard its a guy, a junior" a girl says, "That don't sound like it, I heard it was a freshman, and a she" someone else says. Diane was the only one at our table quiet. She was just invited at the table of the most popular people of Middleton....including myself.
Everyone wanted to be at this table, I was here since the first day I moved here. This is the table of club leaders, athletes, just basically popular people. But, only a few select can make it here. There's James, from the baseball team, Fiona, from student government, known as the straight A student, the girl who went up to Diane in the lunch line before Christmas break? That's her. Then Ava, the cheer leading captain, Greg the captain of the football team, that's only a few of the people at this table-at least here on 2nd shift, Mel is at this table on 1st lunch, that's what she tells me. Diane is treated nice here, and they give her the proper respect, "What do you think about it, Diane?" Ava says to Diane. Diane clears her throat, "I really don't care to be honest." "Whyyyy I mean what if he's like Travis, all fine and everything?" Ava brushes my shoulder, "Too bad you're taken" she pouts. The bell rung for lunch to end.

"You know we have that vectors and graphing test right?" I remind her. We actually had the test yesterday, but over half the class failed, so we're all doing a re-take. "Oh! Uh right.... I need to get my textbook, I'll see you in class" she says, "Alright"
