Chapter 28

Anastasia POV;

Waking up the next morning, the stress that I had previously felt building up since the fight seemed to have mildly subsided since last night; at least…I felt calmer. It was as though seeing and being Kellen had settled my growing angst. Sat at the breakfast table, I laughed freely with the pack as we chatted about last night.

“So I had just got talking to this really nice girl when this guy walks over to me and stands really close,” begins Mick in amusement. I listen intently, an anticipate smile hung loosely and playing at the corners of my lips, while subconsciously I am aware that Rick goes to answer the doorbell. “So I start talking to this girl again, thinking that this guy is just drunk and having a laugh, when the guy suddenly runs his hand up my chest! I ask him what the hell he’s doing, he jus goes ‘oh sorry, I thought you were my mate’ I laugh at it now but it was really kind of freaky at the time.” We all burst out laughing at Mick’s misfortune.

“Prowess, there’s a letter you need to sign for.” Calls Rick from the front door as the laughter dies down. I look up and smile questioningly at him; taking the hint, Rick turns to speak to the postman again. My curiosity peaks as Rick frowns at the reply; meeting my gaze “It’s from the palace Ma’am.” He replies. The table hushes; looking curiously between the door and myself.

Frowning at my breakfast, my heart skips a beat as I consider the idea that my charming prince might’ve possibly worked out my identity. Slowly, I rise from the table and head towards the door; I smile gratefully at the postman who flushes as I sign for the letter, which he shakily hands me then turns to leave. Relief of a small proportion courses through me at seeing the letter title addressed to the Prowess. Surely if it was personally from Kellen he would’ve address it to Ana? Conscious of the pack watching me, I open the letter- eager to know to know it’s content.

Regarding the review of Policy 261; The position of family members and females within a pack.

Review of Policy 261;

Recent complaints as to this policy have made it necessary for it to be reviewed and reformed. It has therefore been decided that all relations of pack members, including females, and anybody of wolf decent- as of the turning age of 16- will be eligible to join the pack in whose territory they reside, or to whose territory the guidelines will place them.

It shall be the responsibility of the Pack Leaders to communicate and decide whose pack territory each wolf is assigned. Attached, please find a list of wolves in your territory that are eligible for initiation, which should also serve as an indicator of how many new members you are to expect, as well as a list of guidelines outlining the requirements that must be met with when assigning new members. The werewolf families will be informed by letter next week of the policy changes and will be expected to hand in all necessary documentation regarding their child/s selection. This information will then be passed to their assigned pack leader.

 A three-month time period has been allocated for this process. After this time the new policy shall be implemented and initiation dates for each pack will be announced publicly. By this time;

·     Funding- APPLIED FOR

·     New Pack Housing – IN PROCESS OF BEING BUILT
