This might be pretty sappy just warning you :)

As you sat under a blanket in the cold house of Kirishima, you thought of all the things that had happened today. There was a wild snowstorm earlier that day, and it knocked out the power of half of the city. You were at you boyfriend's house when it happened, watching a movie. After the power went out, Kirishima had bravely decided to go get some food and more blankets, so he left you in the house.
Alone.
In the dark.
You weren't scared of the dark, but it had been so long since you were alone during the dark parts of day. You usually slept at Kirishima's house, because it had gotten to the point in your relationship that it wasn't awkward. And plus, your cramped house that was a street down wasn't fit for your taste anyways. It was cold there 24/7, there was barely room to walk, and most of the windows had little cracks in them.
The one time Kirishima did come over to your house for a date, he suggested halfway through that you go to his larger, warmer house. So you went there and hardly ever left. But you were never alone there. He was always there, and when he was out working, you were too. So this time was a little creepy. The absence of his warmth next to you didn't please you at all.
You fidgeted around on the couch. You wanted to check your phone to see if he had texted you yet, but it was dead, sadly. You had nothing to do until he came back. You plopped down on your back and stared into the dark, where the ceiling would be if you could see. You lay there for a minute or two, discontent, when you decided you would rather be somewhere other than on the couch. You got up and walked around, hitting various body parts on various pieces of furniture.
You randomly chose the kitchen cupboard as a nice place to sit until he came back. It was high off the ground, so you had to get on the counter, then crawl up into the cupboard, then close it behind you. It was a tiresome thing to do, but once you got up there, you realized how spacious and warm it was. You could easily stretch out your whole body, due to the fact that there weren't little dividers or walls between each door. You lay on your back and smiled.
What if Kirishima would have to find me?
You laughed out loud. You would never be so mean. You thought about getting out, and then going back to the place where he saw you last. But just as you were about to open the cupboard, you heard the front door open. You heard Kirishima kicking off his shoes, taking off his coat, and walking towards the living room. "Y/N?" He whispered into the dark. You stifled your laughter. He sounded so innocent and sweet just then.
"Where'd ya go?" He said a little bit louder. You could practically see the concerned and frustrated look on his face. The arch of an eyebrow, the pouting of his lip, the tapping of his foot. It was all too perfect. You heard him shuffling around, and then you heard the emergency flashlight he kept in the coffee table drawer click on. Light creeped in through the crack of the door, illuminating a sliver of your face. You did your best not to move at all.
"I know you're here. You were too scared to go outside when it was dark earlier and too scared to go upstairs to our room. So you have to be out here," he mused. It was true. You told him you were scared of being alone, so he told you to stay in that spot so he could find you right when he got back. And so you did. For about ten minutes. Then you did your little adventure into the cupboards.
He seemed to pause to wait for a reply. When you didn't answer, he said, "Oh, I see how it is. You want me to find you." You nodded to yourself slightly. He sighed loudly, then clicked the flashlight off again. "Maybe you got kidnapped or something and I'm just talking to the ghost that hangs out in the basement." You shuddered, still a little bit scared.
"If I make you laugh then I'll be able to find you faster. Too bad I'm not funny," he sighed. He started walking around in the dark, feeling out in every direction to try and find sharp corners that he should avoid stumbling into. You heard a loud crash, and the soft curses of Kirishima. He probably had fallen over something. "That's it. I'm hardening my fucking shins," he yelled. You let a giggle escape your mouth, then immediately smacked your hand on your mouth.
"Aha!" He exclaimed. "I heard that one. So I am talking to you and not some ghost." The sound of more determined footsteps creeped into your ears, and adrenaline pumped into your body. Your neck hairs pricked onto their end, you couldn't stop yourself from smiling. You liked this game. You were excited for him to find you, yet at the same moment, you didn't want him to. It was a confusing mix of emotions.
You heard the cabinets around you opening and crashing close, each time it got closer to you. When he opened one that you weren't in, he would click his tongue and go to the next one. The one in front of your face flew open, and you were met face to face with a smiling Eijiro. "There you are," he laughed. He kissed your lips, then helped you get down.
His hands were firmly placed on your hips, and he smiled down at you. "You're such a weirdo," he said. You smiled and rolled your eyes.
"So are you. You were the one who spent a lot of time trying to find me. I was just trying to nap," you teased.
"I have a better place to take a nap," he whispered. He swept you off your feet and carried you up to the bedroom. He placed you on the bed gently, then lay down next to you. He pulled you up into his arms, wrapping them around you. His fingers ran through your hair as a content sigh passed his lips.
"The lights won't be on for a while," he mumbled into your ear, clearly half-asleep. "We can stay here until they do."
His soft lips brushed your ear then landed on the nape of your neck, resting there. He squeezed you in closer for warmth, then fell asleep there. The rest of your night was spent smiling, and inhaling his scent. You prayed the lights would never come on again.
