Tamaki has never been one to show off, which was reflected in his simple tux. He didn't hold back his tears when he saw you for the first time in your dress. His lip trembled as he spoke, his words coming out shyly yet clearly.
"How do you know when you want to marry someone? I think I asked everyone I knew who was married that question for a year straight before I proposed to you. I asked the waitress at our favorite restaurant, I asked my parents, I asked my friends, anyone I could just to see what they thought. I think the fact that I asked that so much just showed that I was ready, but of course I wouldn't see that. Some of them told me, 'when the thought of her keeps you up at night years into the relationship.' Someone else said, 'when she's seen you at your lowest and still loves you the next day.' There were a lot of good answers, but I didn't apply any of them to you.
"I was searching endlessly for a reason, when deep down I already knew. You kept me up at night when we were apart, and you still loved me at my lows. But what I'm going to tell our son or daughter when they're considering marriage isn't that. I'm going to tell them how you reworked my heart until I could speak to strangers. I'm going to tell them how you made me confident enough to be a better hero. Because when you're dating the most beautiful, thoughtful, and amazing person you know, you're going to be a bit more confident.
"I'm going to tell them how you loved me even when I was shy and scared. How you didn't try to change my imperfections, but how they worked themselves out anyway because of you. I think you know when you know, and that when you feel like you're ready to marry someone and take them with you everywhere, you just have to take the plunge and do it. I mean, it's only because of you I'm able to say these out loud, even if it's just to our families and friends.
"So, in return for all that you've done for me, I promise to do little things for you for the rest of our lives. Make you pancakes in the morning, buy you gifts, hold the door for you, hug you for a little bit longer, and just anything you ask of me. I promise to do big things, too. I promise to take you on vacations, to buy us a nice house, to give you a nice life. I love you, and I will show it to you for as long as I live."

Well let me tell you, readers, it has been quite busy lately. I know this isn't a "real" chapter, but it is done by request and I do love Tamaki so much.Anyway, how are you all doing? I know everything going on right now is crazy and upsetting so if you need someone to talk to feel free to dm me. Surprisingly I'm coping fairly well with this so I'm here for anyone who isn't.
