A Little Push [On-Hold]

Chapter Thirty-two

Two weeks and three long days na ang nakakalipas at panibagong araw na naman ng paghihintay ang dumating sa akin sa umagang ito. Maling mali talaga na hindi kaagad kami nag-apply ni Marg'reth sa mga companies na nag-ooffer ng job after our graduation.

Mayroon namang mga tumawag na sa akin about sa mga maliliit na companies pero hindi ko pinatulan dahil masyadong mababa ang salary rate, mas okay pang magtayo ng sarili kong firm dahil kung ikukumpara ko ang maaaring maging monthly income ko, iyon nga lang ay masyadong risky. At gustong gusto ko ring makapasok sa  Architectural Firm na pinapangarap ko, ang Berkins and Will. Ang Berkins and Will ay isa sa pinakasikat at pinakamagaling na architechtural firm dito sa New York city, na pagmamay-ari ng dalawang matalik na magkaibigang sina Rudy Berkins, 48 years old,  at Robert Will, 43 years old.

Isinalpak ko sa tenga ko ang aking earphones at nagsimula ng tumakbo sa treadmill ko rito sa apartment. Mamaya ay tatawagan ko si Donatello, aayain kong manood ng sine, nai-stress lang ako rito sa bahay sa paghihintay na tawagan ako ng kompanyang pinapangarap ko.

"Did you have fun?" tanong ni Donatello habang sinusubuan ako ng blueberry cheesecake na desert namin. Dumiretso kaminsa favorite resto namin after watching a movie.

"Yeah, thank you. Naabala pa tuloy kita, teka.. natapos mo na ba yung ginagawa mo noong isang araw? Baka naman naabala na kita, nawala sa isip ko. I'm so sorry—"

"It's fine, tapos na iyon. And gusto ko ring makasama ka all the time, if you only knew... pinapagalitan na ako. ng secretary ko because I always talk about you whenever I'm working." napapangiti pa ito habang nagkukuwento sa akin.

Pinagpatuloy namin ang pagsusubuan at paglalambingan sa restaurant hanggang sa matapos na kaming kumain.

"I really liked the movie..I feel sad yet contented for it's ending." wala sa sariling nasabi ko kay Donatello habang pasakay kami ng kotse niya.

"It really is a nice movie. I never thought I'll be watching one of Zoey Deutch's movie with a lovely girl. But if that ever happens to me, I think I can't do the right thing, maybe I'll just continue living in the same day over and over again, spending every moment with you... That will be fine with me. How about you?" he asked while buckling my seatbelt.

"I'll do spend more time with you, treasure every moment, also with my family, but in the end, I know I have to end things right. Maybe I'll do just like how Samantha Kingston did in the movie." sagot ko.

"Don't you dare make out with another guy, 'Before I Fall' is just a movie. Don't you ever rely on a fictional character's decision, babe." he snapped.

Natawa ako, as if namang may ibang lalaki pang umaaligid sa akin.

"What's so funny, babe?" inis na tanong niya.

"Nothing, I just like it when you speak your mind, you sound like a little bratty boy. Do you know that?" panunukso ko. At hayun na naman ang nguso nitong nanghahaba.. He's so adorable.

"I can give you a dozen of boys, and I won't mind giving you three girls, so don't compare me to the guys your age, I'm way older than you." masungit na saad nito.

Nakakatawa lang na hindi kami awkward tuwing napag-uusapan ang age gap namin or ang tungkol sa pamilya ko.

"Hmm, I have my period right now and I'm not a dog who can bear lots of babies at the same time so I dunno if what your talking about is possible, 'old man'. "

He abruptly stop the car on the free way and looked at me dangerously. Uh-oh.. did I hit a nerve?!

"Old man?" he asked while grining from ear to ear like the most handsome lunatic I've ever seen..

"Oh shit! Stopp!!  Ohh!  Aahh!" I yelled as he tickled me hard.

I can feel my chest beating ever so loudly and I struggle to steady my breath. This is much worse than riding a roller coaster. I hate tickling even though it's fun.

"Say that again and you know what happens next. And oh! No quality time for the next two weeks. That's your punishment." he grinned after declaring my sentence.

"Whutt!?!You're kidding, right?!"

"No little girl, you need to obey someone older than you. Okay? Let's take you to my house." when he said that, nakagawa na ako ng plano kung paano ako magiging touchy sa kanya pag-uwi..

Kaso tinotoo niya ang banta niya. Nakalock ang door ng room niya. Tss.

I checked my emails from my phone and was surprised to see that I have an interview this coming wednesday. And it's from the Berkins and Will!, Thank you God!!

I sleep happily that night, and when I woke up, I am already in the arms of the man I love.

"Good morning." I yawned.

"Good morning, babe." he said as he claimed my lips for our good morning kiss.

Hindi naman kailangang araw araw ay sex ang gagawin namin.. Mas masaya talaga ang relasyon na pag-ibig ang nangingibabaw kaysa sa tawag ng laman.

"I have a good news..." sabi ko.

"Uh-huh? Tell me what it is." he commanded.

"I'll  be having an interview with Berkins and Will. Yiiee!!! hopefully, I'll pass and start working there!!" I gushed facing his chest.

"I know you can do anything. You are a wonderful, beautiful, bright woman, and you're mine." grabe talaga magpakilig si Donatello, feeling ko nagpapapalakpak ang magkabilang tenga ko.

"I love you, Donatello. " I kissed his left cheek.

"I love you more, my angel, Maxine."
