Although Zaide's heart was beating so fast in nervous excitement, he had to let them be alone.
He knew how much his sister wanted to be alone with Thomas, to make him hers.
"I'm actually not hungry." Zaide said turning away from the kitchen and towards the living room.
"Bullshit. Put on your shoes. You're going with us." Thomas said with such authority in his voice that it made Zaide shiver.
Thomas used that tone when he had to know how Zaide got the bruises.
It used to scare Zaide to death, but now he was having pleasurable shivers whenever he heard that tone.
