Dan quickly wrote down that Rome's books were on the desk and not to fine him.
He was so grateful for his good boy image that he put up in front of everyone. It had helped him and his friends in a lot of situations.
Rome handed Dan his books despite his better judgement.
The brief second their fingers touched, Rome felt an electric shock ran down his body.
They both stared at each other for a few moments, before Dan's phone rang again. They had to break the eye contact.
Dan placed the books with library card on the left side of her desk where a couple of cats' photos were and put the sticky note on a picture frame, before ordering Rome to follow him out of the library.
