"I can't believe they've forbidden us from having a relation until I'm eighteen." Rome stated, frustrated as he kicked a pebble on his lawn.
"It's okay." Dan said reassuringly as he grabbed Rome by his wrist to stop him from pacing.
"Why are you so calm?" Rome looked at Dan, doubting his every intention.
"Huh?" The older boy was speechless seeing Rome's eyes scanning him. "What do you mean?"
"I mean how can you be so calm! Are you planning on leaving me when you go to college? Am I an experiment to you? If that's the case, then just say it right-"
Rome was cut off as Dan put a finger on his lips.
"You think too much." He chuckled seeing Rome's pout. "I'm not planning on using you. I'll wait till you're eighteen and then," Dan shrugged to hide his own insecurities, "If you still wanna be with me, we'll be together."
Rome's vision got blurry until he had to close his eyes to stop those tears from spilling and tilt his head to let Dan know it was time to seal the deal with a kiss.
