Zaide reluctantly agreed.
They headed to KFC as it was Thomas' favourite spot.
Thomas asked what everyone would want to eat and the three of them placed their orders.
It was halfway through the meal when Zara asked Thomas to bring extra tissue.
As soon as Thomas left, Zara turned her glare to Zaide. "What are you still doing here, Zai?"
"Huh?" He stopped eating. It took awhile, but Zaide got the point and excused himself with heavy heart.
"Zai, take your lunch with you so that you can finish it." Zara said, smiling. Zaide only nodded.
He took a deep breath, willing the unwanted tears to go back into his tear ducts and left.
