Thomas and Zaide walked down the street and at the end, they took a right, then left turn and Zaide stopped, grabbing Thomas' wrist.
"What's wrong?" Zaide shivered as he looked at the woods ahead of them.
"This is forbidden at night. Don't you know?" Zaide whispered, almost scared.
"There's a lot of things that are forbidden in life, but despite all of that, we do it, right?" Thomas asked looking straight into Zaide's eyes.
"Right." Zaide felt hot all over his body, his ears heated up.
"I'm with you. You surely don't believe in ghosts, right?" Thomas was about to burst out seeing how adorable the younger looked scared.
"N-no," he stammered, "It's just... let's go."
Zaide almost dragged Thomas through the small path through the woods to show his bravery and did not let his hand go even when they had arrived at the lake.
