Dan's palms went clammy as he knocked on the door. He felt stuffy in that formal shirt. As he tried to stretch his collar around his throat to allow some air to cool his skin underneath, the door swung open.
His nervousness left his body seeing Rome's cute face bright with smile.
"Hey." Rome greeted and came closer. Dan thought Rome was going to give him some good luck kiss, but he only opened the top button of his shirt that was almost suffocating him. "Just relax." Rome whispered as he gave Dan his much awaited kiss.
Rome's dad, Mr. George Perry and mum, Julia, seemed normal to him, nice people.
The question answer round had gone just fine before they moved to dinner.
The food was delicious and Dan enjoyed the evening, except Rome's dad's odd looks.
"Before we have our dessert, I want to talk to you about something." George's words sent chill down Dan's spine.
And, from then on, everything went to hell.
