Thomas' phone rang as he climbed down through Zaide's window after kissing him senseless, almost.
After a lot of cursing, he answered it. "What?" He asked grimly.
"Dude, chill your bum. Where have you been? I'm nervous, Tom. Don't you think it's early? I mean it's only been-" Dan was speaking without giving Thomas a chance to, so he had to interrupt.
"Calm your bum down, dude. What happened?" Thomas waved at Zaide as he left, the younger boy waved back with a sigh.
"Didn't I tell you I've to meet Rome's parents today?" Dan was appalled. "What a great best friend you are!"
Thomas chuckled. "It's too early, I guess, but at some point you've to do it. Just be yourself and I'm pretty sure they'll love you." Thomas reassured. "Plus, they're probably gonna try to scare you off anyway."
"Wow! That's a shit load of help, moron. Bye," Dan said before adding, "And you'll give me full details as to why you ditched school today."
Thomas chuckled. He guessed he had to tell Dan where he had been.
