Zaide took a deep breath as he pushed open the front door of his school building and stopped in his track as he saw Thomas standing by his car just outside the school gate.
Thomas looked like a nervous kid on the first day of his school, but his face lit up as soon as he saw Zaide.
The younger boy did not stop himself as his feet took him across the front yard of school and to Thomas. He hugged him tightly. Zaide was not really sure why he was being so sensitive about the whole ordeal.
It was not the first time and it would very well not be the last. He knew he was weak and could not stand up against Seven.
Although, Thomas not being there when he felt trapped, made the loneliness in his heart so very real.
