Chapter 20: I'm Positive

A Few Days Later

I woke up in David's bed. David had obviously already gotten up because I was the only one in the bed. I got up and threw on underwear, some sweatpants, a bra, and one of David's sweatshirts. I fell back onto the bed. I stretched, sprawling myself out on the whole bed. I smiled as David's scent took over. I closed my eyes and relaxed again. I was fully relaxed until I had a gut wrenching feeling in my stomach. I shot up from the bed, covered my mouth, and ran to the bathroom. I kneeled down by the toilet as I lost last night's dinner. I heard someone walk into the bedroom and run into the bathroom. They knelt down next to me a rubbed my back with their thumb. I wiped my mouth and flushed the toilet.

"Not feeling good?" David asked still rubbing my back.

I put the toilet lid down and sat on it. I ran my fingers through my hair as David rubbed my leg and handed me a water. I took a swig of the water, swished it around in my mouth, and spit it out in the sink getting rid of the taste of vomit in my mouth.

"It probably just a hangover." I said.

"But you barely drank last night. Let alone got drunk." David said.

I shook my head.

"You, were, on birth control, weren't you?" He asked me.

I looked at him. He knew my answer by just looking at me.

"It's just one time right? You only threw up once." He said starting to panic.

I stayed silent.

"If you really think you need to make sure," He started.

"I'll go get some tests, and we can see." He said.

I bit my lip and nodded my head as began to tear up.

"Hey, hey, don't cry. It's okay." He said.

"E-even if it is true, it won't hurt us." He reassured me.

I nodded again.

"C'mon we can tell Natalie and she can sit with you when I leave." He said holding his hand out.

I grabbed his hand and stood up. We walked out into the living room where Alex and Natalie sat.

"Oh my god. Y/N, are you alright?" Natalie asked.

I slid my hand onto my forehead.

"I-I don't really know." I replied.

"I'm going to run to CVS to pick some things up. Natalie, will you stay here with Y/N?" He said nervously running his fingers through his hair.

"Yeah, of course." Natalie said.

I walked over to Natalie and sat next to her.

"Alex, wanna come?" David asked.

"Uh, sure" Alex said standing up.

They both slipped shoes on.

"Y/N, I'll be back in about twenty minutes, okay?" He said.

"Okay" I said back weakly.

"See you guys in a few minutes." He said.

"Bye guys" Natalie said looking at me.

I heard Alex and David close the door.

"Y/N, what's going on?" She asked.

"I- it's just-" I tried to speak, but couldn't say it.

"You can tell me. I won't tell anyone." She said.

"What's going on?" She asked sounding genuinely worried.
