I woke up to Natalie shaking me.

"Y/N!" She yelled.

"Whaaaaat?!" I groaned rolling onto my other side.

"I need your help!" She said.

"With what?" I mumbled.

"Setting up David's party!" She said raising her voice.

I shot up and looked at her.

"You're telling me you forgot!" She said in shock.

I slowly nodded my head.

"How do you forget your best friend's birthday!?" She questioned.

How did I forget my boyfriend's birthday? I asked myself.

"I-I don't know." I said.

"Well get up! We need to get the party ready!" Natalie said running out of my room like a kid on Christmas day.

I grabbed my phone and looked at the date. July 23rd. Along with a notification from my calendar. David's Birthday. I got up and got dressed as quick as possible. I ran out of my room into the living room to see Natalie digging through a giant Party City bag surrounded by tons of other Party City bags on the pool table.

"Um, Natalie?" I said.

She whipped around and ran forward grabbing my arm.

"I need your opinion."

She grabbed two bags of streamers and held them up.

"Blue or gold?" She asked.

"Gold and we need black" I said.

"Already done." She turned around and dug through the bag again. She turned to me and held up a pack of black streamers.

"Smart" I said.

"No shit" She said jokingly.

We both laughed.

"So let's get started!" She said.

"Wait," I started.

"Where's David?" I asked.

"With Jason. He's taking him out while we do this."

"Just us?" I questioned being the lazy person I am.

"No, everyone else is coming later to help."

"Thank God." I said walking over to the hundreds of Party City bags.

"You expect us to use all of this!?" I said digging through a bag.

"No, there's enough here for like twelve more birthdays, two Halloweens, a Christmas or two, and some other celebrations squeezed in there."

"Do you have a gift for him!?" Natalie said obviously just remembering.

"Yeah" I smiled.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Can't tell you. It's a secret!" I said joking around.

"David might be your best friend, but I'm your super close girl friend. I won't tell a soul. Please?"

"I got us matching- friendship bracelets." I said.

They were really bracelets for couples, but I couldn't say that of course.

"Aww! That's so cute!" She said in awe.

"What about you? What'd you get em?" I asked.

"Paintball ammo." She said simply.
