Chapter 5: Just One Kiss

We made it outside and, to my surprise, David put his camera away.

"Y/N, can I ask you one question?" He asked.

"Yeah, anything." I said smiling.

He moved closer.

"Do you like me?" He asked.

"Um, yeah. Of course I do." I said as we continued to hold hands.

"Do you love me?" He asked.

My heart skipped a beat. I squeezed David's hand a bit in surprise, but I don't think he noticed.

"I thought you said one question." I said smiling awkwardly.

"Do you love me?" He whispered as he moved even closer.

"Y-yes." I stuttered.

Our faces were so close that I could feel his hot breath against my face. He closed his eyes and leaned in. I closed my eyes, but stopped and opened them back up.

"David, I can't do this." I said.

He kept his eyes closed.

"Please. No one has to know. Just one kiss. That's all it is." He said.

"David, I can't do this to Liza."

"Just one kiss. Please." He pleaded as he somehow moved even closer.

He slid his other hand under my hair and behind my ear. I closed my eyes and leaned in. So did he. We locked lips. My brain was telling me to stop, but my heart was telling me to not to. I really did love him, so I didn't stop. I threw my arm around his neck as we continued. I couldn't stop, and I could tell that he couldn't either. We pulled apart, but our lips still touching. I kept my eyes closed. I could feel his breath again. I could feel him smile. I heard a door open. I opened my eyes and David stood next to me. We let go of each other's hands, and Scott walked out of the door.

"Are you guys done with the bit?" He asked.

"Um, yeah." David said.

"Good, we need to get going. The cops are coming." He said laughing.

David and I laughed, and we all ran to the Tesla. Once everyone was in the car David set up the camera on the dashboard.

"Ok, so Y/N and I were outside filming a bit when Scott came outside and just straight up told us that we needed to leave because the cops were coming." He said to the camera. We all laughed.

"My question is what were you guys doing out there?" Todd asked.

"What do you mean? We were filming a bit for the vlog." He said pointing at the camera.

"Well, why did you just now start your camera if you were already filming?" He asked smiling.

David and I blushed, but no one noticed.

"I'm just kidding guys" Todd said.

"Jeez" He said smiling.

Everyone laughed, and David and I fake laughed. I was extremely uncomfortable and I could tell that David was too. Our faces were extremely red. Even though I didn't regret kissing David, I still felt bad about backstabbing Liza.

But in the back of my mind I couldn't help but hope that I could kiss David again, again, and again.
