Chapter 38: Names

We arrived back home after a long but fun walk. Everyone was already inside once we got there. We took off our shoes and coats before walking to the kitchen where my Mom stood making hot chocolate.

"Oh! Perfect!" She exclaimed seeing me and David.

She grabbed a large platter with a snowman on it and placed each cup of hot chocolate on it. She fill two whole trays before handing each of us one.

"Everyone is downstairs. Everyone gets one and one only. I will bring down popcorn in a moment." She smiled.

"Okay Mrs. Y/L/N." David grinned.

My Mom laughed before shooing us off. We carefully down the stairs. Once we reached the bottom of the stair we saw literally everyone sitting on the sectional watching Elf.

"Anyone up for hot chocolate?" I asked.

Everyone turned around and jumped up. Everyone grabbed a cup and sat back down leaving three cups left.

"One for you" I said giving the last cup on my tray to David.

"And one for you" He said doing the same.

"And one for my Mom" I added.

David chuckled. "Yes, of course"

We joined everyone else in watching Elf. My family would always watch Christmas movies right after Thanksgiving. No matter what. It was almost a tradition at this point.

As we all laughed it felt like a very sentimental family moment. Every one of us were enjoying every moment. Laughter filled the room. The laughter from: My Dad, my Mom, Ellie, Garrett, Kristen, Robert, Todd, Scott, Gabbie, Liza, Jason, Zane, Heath, David, and I. After finishing Elf and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Kristen took Ellie upstairs to go to bed along with my Mom. Everyone waited patiently for them to get back by just posting on social media and/or just looking through it. Whilst looking through my Instagram explore page I saw something that sparked an idea. I sneakily grabbed David's camera that sat beside him and tried to hold back laughs and trued to act as casual as possible. I took a deep breath before just biting the bullet and going for it.

"Hey, Daddy?" I asked.

And I got the exact outcome I wanted.

"Yeah?" My Dad and David said simultaneously.

Every single person in the room absolutely lost it laughing except my Dad who didn't seem to find it very funny. Most of us ended up crying from laughter, especially when I told them I got the whole thing on camera.

"David you fucking dumb ass." I laughed onto his shoulder as he wiped tears of laughter from his eyes.

"I can't believe that just happened!" Heath shrieked in laughter.

"It doesn't get much better than that!" Gabbie squeaked wiping a tear away.

My Mom and Kristen finally got back downstairs and we filled them in. They both thought it was hilarious, but my Dad still wasn't having it. Once everyone stopped laughing, we continued to watch movies. After my Mom and Dad went to bed, we started to watch thriller/horror movies that caused us all to jump into each other's arms.

"HoW dId We Go FrOm ChRiStMaS tO tHiS!?" Liza squealed.

"I don't know, but I'm havin' a great time." David said holding me close.

"Shut the fuck up! You were fucking terrified a second ago!" I argued.

"That's not why I'm happy." He smiled. "I just like that fact that you're jumping into my arms." He said as he brushed a strand of hair away from my cheek.

"Jesus lovebirds! Want us to turn on Twilight for ya!?" Robert groaned.

"That's be great actually! As long as you LEAVE!" I said in frustration.

Everyone burst out laughing at our very minor feud, but they're just seeing the tip of the iceberg.

Hours passed and everyone was asleep besides me and David.

We sat on the couch, David's back to thd couch and mine to his chest. His arms wrapped around my waist. One of each of our hand in the other's hand as I twisted one of the rings on his other hand. A huge, tan quilt draped over us to keep us warm. We sat in silence before I spoke.

"What are we going to name the baby?" I asked twisting one of him rings.

"I've been thinking about that, and I have a few suggestions." He started as he brushed hair from my face.

"Fire away"

"Well, if it's a girl, I thin it should be named Ester Sara Dobrik." He suggested.

"Really?" I asked in surprise.

"What? Do you not like it?" He questioned.

"No, I'm just surprised you want your sister's names in there."

"Eh, I was planning on just saying Ester, but Sara wanted it just as much." He explained.

"I like it." I smiled.

"Really?" He questioned in shock.

"Yeah, so, if it's a girl, she'll be name Ester Sara Dobrik." I smiled.

"That easily?" He questioned.

"Yeah, I think it's perfect" I reassured him.

"Okay, what do you think if it's a boy?" David asked me.

"I know you'll probably hate it, buuut" I started. "I want his middle name to be Julian" I suggested biting my lip.

"Why?" He questioned.

"Because it'll be keeping it in the family." I explained. "And if he has a son than his middle name could be Julian and so on. We could start a tradition." I went on.

"You've got a point there" David gave in.

"See I told you." I said playfully. "But, I have no clue what the first name would be." I sighed.

"We could always name him something that means a lot to us." David commented.

"Like what?" I asked.

"Liiiiike Tesla, Chipotle, Clickbait, just to name a few." He joked.

"Natalie predicted you would suggest just that." I lauged.

"Sounds about right" David laughed. "We could also always name him after our many friends." David suggested.

"We could." I said. "But, we've got time." I said turning around and looking at him.

"I guess you're right." David sighed.

I planted a kiss on his lips before resting my head on his chest. He wrapped his arms around my shoulders.

He exhaled. "Goodnight babe" He said rubbing my shoulder.

"Goodnight Davie, love you" I said closing my eyes.

"I love you too, I love you too"

I know this chapter isn't as long as normal, but it was just short and sweet.
