CHAPTER TWO: FOOTBALL

'Shocked' was a smaller expression to what Lora was feeling.
That girl was supposed to be her principal? But she was her age!!

Trying hard to suppress her reactions the cerulean eyed Lora greeted her teenage principal.

"Don't need to be so formal. Like others you can just call me by my name, that's Leona...,"

Lora remembered her meet with Noel. He had addressed the principal by her name. It wasn't of disrespect but by principal's own wish...

Things around her were very bizarre but she tried her best to contain it.

"I have already spoken with your mother," Leona said.

"Here goes," thought Lora dryly, "So you know...,"

Leona replied with affirmation.

"Remember one thing... No secrets between us," Leona had a friendly yet predominate voice.

She asked Lora to leave her luggage behind as she stroll in the college.

"It will help me to find a room for you," Leona answered seeing Lora's quizzical expression but hearing Leona's answer she was left with gillions of questions.

She knew she will soon find out about her new college anyways. Swallowing her curiosity in a gulp she thanked the principal and took her leave.

As she moved out of the room she noticed Noel waiting for her outside. Noel grinned looking at her.

She immediately apologized for the delay but Noel was apparently fine. They started to move downstairs.

Lora looked around from the 1st floor. She could only see the dense forest around and the huge crystals of her new college.

"Oh no!..." Noel yelled.

"What's wrong...," she questioned as she noticed Noel hasten.

"Football practice," he replied nonchalantly.

"Football... Wow... I love it..."

Seeing the girl's sudden enthusiasm Noel nodded and the girl chased behind him.

The football field was huge. She was flabbergasted by the sight of it.

Her examination of the field came to an abrupt halt when she heard rantings of another young boy.

"Noel D'souza where were you? You can't be absent for half of the hour with a leave of five minutes..."

Noel apologized persistently.
"I made a new friend,"

Lora peeked from behind.

"Meet her... She is Lora Bury," he introduced.

All the guys of the club rushed in a semicircle to have a look at her. Lora smiled to greet the young men staring at her.

"Can I join too?" she questioned.
She felt a bit uneasy. The boys gazed at her.

She pondered to what would be the captain's reply.

Captain, Mark sweat drop a bit and replied, "Mm, Miss Lora? Taking someone in the team is just not my decision. It's the team which decides and besides according to the schools policy, we haven't had a female player, "

The principal in question suddenly materialized out of nowhere, "I would allow anyone in the team as long as they are able to prove themselves," Leona said.

Lora thanked Leona.

"You will have to work your best to stay in the team," Leona added.

Lora nodded in agreement.

"Now dear you must be apprised, your room is the 'Dragon' . Have some rest as you will have a long day tomorrow onward,"Leona said and disappeared in a puff leaving Lora confused.

When the petite girl turned to face her new team she was met with looks ranging from surprise to astonishment.
