CHAPTER 55

After 2 months.

ZEI'S POV

I heard three successive knocks on my door.

"Zei? Are you done? Dalian mo na jan at maya-maya ay dadating na si Brylle," it's my cousin, Vier Adrian. "Hindi ako aalis hanggat hindi ka pa sinusundo ng date mo."

" Ok, ok. Mauna ka na kase. Hinihintay ka na rin ng date mo eh," sabi ko.

"I know. So please hurry for heavens sake," he said.

"Ok, maaga pa naman eh," sabi ko. Hindi ito magpapatalo pero parang ayoko pang lumabas.

"Baba ka na dw sabi ni Tita," sabi niya.

"Tsk. Ok ok. Fine." I have no choice.

Today is our Senior High School prom. Actually kanina pa ako tapos. Hehe. Paulit ulit lang akong nakatingin sa salamin baka naman may mali sa outlook ko. Hahaha.

I am wearing a red gown. It's an of shoulder gown designed by my Mom's very own designer friend. It's design are tiny sizes pearls. It shines once na mailawan. It's beautiful and I like it very much.

Pagbukas ko ng pinto I saw my cousin in a tuxedo. Wow. He's handsome. His hair was brushed up neatly and he looks like a damn rich man. Ang swerte talaga ng girlfriend niya. He offered his hand and I reached out for it.

Inalalayan niya ako pababa ng hagdan.

"Wow, my very stunning daughter. You're beautiful baby," sabi ni Mom pagsalubong niya sa amin.

"You're really a princess dear," sabi naman ni Dad.

"Thank you Mom, Dad, I really owe you a lot. Of it's not because of you I am not what I am right now," I said and hugged both of them.

"Shhhh.. Of course. Just for you Zei," si Mom. "You too my dear nephew. Yoy are so handsome. Thanks for escorting Zei, you can go to your date. Sabi ko naman sayo huwag mo nangvhintayin si Zei eh. Oh siya go now. A princess is waiting for you," sabi ni Mom.

"Well, sure Tita. Thanks. Zei, Tito mauna na ako ha?" He said. Isa isa kaming nagbeso ni Mom kay Vier at si Dad naman ay manly hug bago siya tuluyang umalis upang sunduin na rin ang date niya.

Maya-maya ay may nag door bell. Bigla akong kinabahan. Baka naman si Brylle na 'yan.

"Ma'am si Sir Toledo po," sabi ni Manang. Sabi ko na nga ba. My heart started beating so fast. Only Brylle can do this to me , even his name brings butterflies in my stomach, what more of it:s personal. I felt my cheeks became so hot. Gosh. I must be blushing.

"Oh, princess just relax and wait for your prince ," sabi ni Mom na parang kinikilog pa and she gave me a wink. Err.. Kelan pa si Mommy natuto ng ganun? Hayss. Ewan ko ba jan kay Mommy.

Lumapit si Mom at personal na sinalubong si Brylle. Nag usap pa sila ngunit hindi ko narinig ang usapan nila sa sobrang lakas ng kabog ng dibdib ko. Nakaupo ako sa couch at nakatalikod ako sa kanila kaya hindi ko makita kung ano ang ginagawa nila.

I heard footsteps na papalapit sa akin pero halos hindi ko na ito marinig dahil sa lakas ng kabog ng dibdib ko. I kept imagining possible things that might happen later. I'm so excited and at the same time nervous. My hands are shaking as well as my knees pero hindi ko pinahalata.

Maya-maya lang ay nasa harap ko na si Brylle. I slowly looked at him.

He is wearing a tuxedo. His hair was neatly brushed up like that of a prince.

He is...he..is.. Soooooo handdddsoooommmeeee today!!!

He smiled and again I melted and I was drowned in his eyes. I smiled back.

He gave me a red rose. I took it and smelled it. I really love this.

"Thanks," I said.

He offered his hand.

"Take my hand my princess," he said in a very gentleman manner. His voice echoed in my mind.

Psh. Stop imagining self. Your life isn't a fairytale.

I felt Mom giggled. Inabot ko yung kamay ni Brylle. Warm as always. This is really the hand of the man who melted my stone cold heart. Inalalayan niya akong tumayo.

"Take care baby," si Mom.

"Take care of my princess," sabi ni Dad.

Before we left the house I hugged and kissed my parents. Si Mom, as usual emotional, dalagang dalaga na dw ako. Hihi..yess.

Nang makalabas na kami ng bahay, aba, pati kotse match na match sa outfit namin ni Brylle. It's red.

"You're so gorgeous. You're beautiful," Brylle uttered while looking into my eyes and his hands holding mine. I smiled. He opened the door for me.

I smiled. I feel like I'm blushing again. I looked away. It's awkward.

The smile of the car is extra special today. It:s different from the usual.

"Hey, don't look away you brat. You really look cute once you blush. Sayang, I can't pinch your face right now," sabi niya na medyo natatawa and he started the engine. Nakatingin siya sa daan and he is smiling like an idiot.

I don't know but somethung tickles me inside after hearing his words.

I rolled my eyes. My heartbeats are fast again. Damn.

"You really can't. You'll destroy my make up once it happens," I said in a almost whispered manner yet he still managed to hear it.

He stopped the car and in a second his face is so near to mine. He is looking at my lips. I can smell his mint breathe and his perfume. I'm addicted to his smell.

Nilapit niya yung mukha niya sa mukha ko. His forehead is touching mine.

"Even though you don't have a make up you are the cutest, the prettiest, the most gorgeous, and most beautiful girl for me Zei Rim," he whispered.

Hearing him mention my name is the sweetest thing ever. Hindi ako kumibo. Nakatingin lang ako sa ilalim. I am speechless. I don't know what to say. I can't hear anything except my loud heartbeats.

"Look at me , baby," he said and he pulled me nearer to him. I looked at him and I wrapped my hands around his neck.
His eyes is still the most beautiful view for me.

"I love you," he said and then suddenly I felt him kissed my forehead.

Natulala ako. Still wondering if what happening right now is a dream or not.

He pinched the tip of my nose. Nagulat ako dun ah.

I rolled my eyes.

"Mahal rin kita Brylle Zen," I said habang nakatingin ng deretso sa daan.
I can feel him looking at me and I can't resist it. I looked at him.

We both laughed.

Errr... Awkward.
Haha.

He started driving again.
I smiled. I just can't stop smiling. I am happy and thankful for everything that happened today yet I know, we all know that this is only a start.
