The hoof pick was in my hands as I scraped the dirt out of my beloved horse's hooves, a few rocks lodged in it's hoof as well. My horse whinnies in relief as it's hooves probably felt much better and relieved from all the stones lodged into it's hooves. My horse was practically my best friend, it's pretty coat shined in the sunlight. They were a good horse, a better one then someone could ever have hoped for.

Another horse trots up the path to camp, it's hooves snapping twigs under it's feet. It whinnies and I notice the rider to be Lenny, Lenny Summers. He looks a bit frustrated as he rides his horse over to the hitching post, soon walking over to another man whom had been cleaning his hunting rifle. He and Arthur had gotten back from a Bison trip, he kept going on that there were poachers kill the creatures and not even taking the meat. Killing for sport? What kind of sick bastard does that? "That camp you've mentioned before, Charles, it's still there."

Charles looks at him, thinking for a moment. "It's been there for a few days, hasn't it?" He asks Lenny, a bit concerned on whom could be lurking around and spying on us all. Especially since we were all wanted by the law, it'd probably be best to find out whom was camped around us. "Several days, I reckon it's O'Driscoll's boys." Lenny says, trying to come to a conclusion. He probably wasn't wrong, usually folk just come and go, not stand around for awhile. "Maybe we ought to take a look." Charles says, a frown slowly forming on his face. He really didn't want to go and see it, but he decided he probably should since it would have been threatening to the rest of us if the camp stayed.

Not even a minute later, our so called Irish idiot shows up. "What's the fuss, Lad?" Sean says as he approaches Charles and Lenny. Charles and Lenny look to each other before looking to Sean, whom is standing there like an idiot. Like always. The two explain that a camp had been in the area for a bit, more then a few days. It started to concern folk who were settled in camp, O'Driscoll's ain't exactly too friendly with us if it was them. Lenny pointed above the trees, smoke rising above them. It had signaled a campfire, not too far from us either. The smoke continued to rise up, high above the trees.

I put my horse's hoof down after I finished picking the rest of the stones out, looking up at the rest of the gang. Another figure seemed to notice and made his way over, his eyes flickering over to me before joining the group. His expression turned serious as they all kept talking before Charles look over to me, waving me over. I groan, and pat my horse's neck before walking over. The small group turned towards me, Charles folding his arms as he explains to me that the camp in the area was still around, and we all wanted it gone to attract less attention from us.
