Zach's never been more than the boy next door, the neighbor that you see in the morning and wave hi to or you see when your in your drive way getting the mail. Well it was like that til last week when I was leaving the house to go to Barnes & Nobles and I saw Zach shirtless washing his car, and I stood there on the foot booster thingy looking over the top of my 2017 Chevrolet Silverado. He was soaking wet from his hair down to his feet. I got to admit Zach looked mad fine after sophomore year, but now senior year he has his life and I have mine. Zach looks up from his car and looks at me, he waves.

"Hi Emily." He shouts so I can hear him. I wave, back and instantly get in my truck and start it and leave. I forgot I left my wallet on the roof, so I put the truck in park and grab my wallet and leave. As I pull away I can see Zach watching me from my review mirror.

- later that night -

I was sitting in my bed room at my desk doing homework that was due on Monday aka the next day. I was cramming reading three chapters of some book from the 20th century that was given two weeks ago. I procrastinate a lot, homework was one of the things under that topic.  My room was actually quite clean besides the few pairs of jeans and shoes that were on the floor near my closet and dresser and vanity, which by the way my Mother insisted I'd have one. I'm in the middle of reading the final chapter and I hear a round of taps. I look at my door and say, "yeah mama." No one answered so I let it be. A few seconds later I heard another round of taps, I look at my bay window. I see Zach.

"What the," I say to myself as I walk to the window and raise it. "Zachary?" I ask. He's sitting on the one of the branches that is apart of the tree between out bed room windows. He's in a gray hoodie and black joggers and he's wearing black socks. His hairs messy and damp which mean he took a shower.

"Um," he said awkwardly. I stop staring.

"Wanna come in?" I ask scratching the back of my neck. I can feel my face turning slightly pink.

"Yeah." He says as I move out of the way towards my desk, I close my book and put everything in my bag. I know I won't be finished tonight anyways. I turn around and see Zach walking around looking at the pictures of me playing basketball, baseball, football, volleyball, or boxing. I never liked 'female sports' because guys cut down girls when they play them, so I always played with the boys.

After a few minutes I broke the silence, "having four brothers made it easy to play sports with boys."

"I remember."

"Huh?"

"The year my mom home schooled me after my dad left, you and your brothers would always be in the front yard or in the street playing some kind of game." He says. He chuckles, "I remember you and Jack we're always on the same team because you were the youngest. But you guys would dominate Jonah, Corbyn, and Daniel."

"Yeah it was fun."

"Does it get lonely?" He asks sitting on the right side of my bed.

"Sometimes." I say sitting on the left side of the bed.

"I wish my mom had more kids." Zach says.

"No you don't." I giggled.

"I never have anyone to hangout with." Zach says groaning laying down throwing his hands behind his head.

"I've always been here, since we were born." I say laying on my side facing him.

"I thought you had your own life." He says leaning on his side.

"I always wanted you to be a part of it." I said. Zach looked at me and grinned. He kissed me. It was a sloppy kiss. He pulled away his eyes full of lust. I look at him and now I'm kissing him. I climb on top of him and pull off his hoodie. I fall deeper into the kiss, and now our tongues are fighting for dominance. I give up and let him have it. I take off my shirt. And he flips us over and he's on top of us. He pulls away a little bit and places little kisses on my lips and all over my face.

"Move over," he says slightly shoving me.  I move over and lay down on my side facing him. He lays down facing me, "now come here." He moves his index finger in a motion to come towards him. I do as I'm told. "Now face the other way." I do as I'm told he places his hand over me pulling me closer towards him cuddling me. I hear his breathing get heavier.

"Zach?" I say quietly.

No answer.

- the next morning -

It's 4 am and I feel something move. I see Zach at the window, "Bye Zach."

"We should do this again." He says with a smile.

"Not going to happen Herron, we graduate in a month and then I'm off to Yale."

"Why don't we rethink that Ms. Emily Herressburg, we're both going to Yale and we share a dorm room." He winked and climbed out the window.

I ran to the window, "again." I commented as he was in his room looking out his window.

"Good, now sleep you goon we get up in three hours and you still have homework."
