[Jealous!KO × Reader]

So I found out recently that KO has a rival and his name is Combo Breaker. But we don't really know much about the character other than he looks like Astro Boy and he is the only person who really gets on KO's nerves. And I couldn't resist making this chapter.

Y/n and KO were good friends. They both worked at the bodega, they both went to the same school, and they had so much in common.

Usually, they spend their time at work playing games, fighting robots, helping customers, and looking at POW Cards. Today was different, and that was all because of one person.

Enid and Rad were on lunch break, Mr. Gar was in his office working, and KO was stacking things up in a shelf. Y/n was in another aisle sweeping. They heard the doors open, the loud ding filling the shop. Y/n decided to take care of it and walked up to the customer.

"Hello, sir. How can I help you?" Y/n asked them. It was a boy around her age. He looked oddly familiar, like she had seen him from somewhere. He resembled a cartoon character Y/n had seen in a movie.

"Hey. I'm Combo Breaker." The boy smirked as he held his hand out for her to shake. Y/n smiled and took it.

"I'm Y/n. It's nice to meet you." She said as she shook his hand. "So, is there something I can help you with?"

"Uh... Yeah... I wanna buy something to uh..." Combo Breaker trailed off, trying to think of something. Someone suddenly interrupted his thoughts.

"Combo Breaker." A familiar voice hissed his name. Combo Breaker looked up and saw his rival, KO, standing next to Y/n. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm buying something, of course!" Combo Breaker said as he smirked at KO. KO growled, annoyed.

"And what would that be?" He asked. Combo Breaker thought for a moment before an idea sparked in his mind.

"Something to help boost my oh, so amazing powers." He said as he smirked at Y/n, causing her to blush. KO felt anger boiling in him.

"What powers?! You're level 0!" KO raised his voice. Combo Breaker frowned.

"It's not like you have any powers." He said. KO smirked.

"Actually, I do. I could beat you in a fight in a heartbeat." KO said as he showed Combo Breaker his POW Card, revealing to him that he was level 3. "And I have a turbonic form who could kick your butt."

"But you're not going to release him because he'll destroy the bodega." Y/n said as she placed her hands on her hips, frowning. KO's smirk disappeared.

"N-No, I'm not gonna let him out..." He muttered, looking down.

"Good. Now, I can help you find something to help you, Combo Breaker. C'mon." Y/n said as she turned and began leading him away. As he passed KO, Combo Breaker stuck his tongue out at him and intertwined his fingers with Y/n's. KO growled, about to blow a fuse.

As the two were going through some things for Combo Breaker, KO was sitting by the counter, glaring at Combo Breaker. His rival, trying to be friends with his best friend. How could he?

You could say KO was jealous. Okay, super jealous. He felt like he was about to explode with anger. He never felt this way before, not even towards Combo Breaker. He must have been really upset over him and Y/n talking to each other.

KO noticed Combo Breaker had a smirk, and Y/n was laughing. KO couldn't take it anymore.

"Y/N!" KO called, surprising the both of them. He looked really upset.

"Hold on just a second." Y/n said to Combo Breaker. He smirked.

"All right, I'll wait right here." He winked at her, causing her to blush. She turned and made her way over to KO, who grabbed her arm and dragged her out of Combo Breaker's sight.

"What is it, KO?" Y/n asked.

"How could you?!" KO said, anger lacing his voice. Y/n raised an eyebrow.

"What? What did I do?" She asked.

"You're my best friend, not his! You can't just go making best friends nilly willy!" KO said as he threw his arms into the air. Y/n was silent for a moment before grinning.

"You're jealous, aren't you?" She asked, smirking. KO frowned.

"No, I'm not! He's just a bad friend! He's not good for you! But I am! Just stay with me." KO said as he grabbed her hands.

"KO's jealous, KO's jealous..." Y/n said in a sing-song voice as she swung their arms. KO groaned in annoyance.

"No, I'm not! I'm just upset that he would try to steal my friend..." KO said. He suddenly realized what he had said and mentally face-palmed. "I am jealous..."

"But why? Nothing bad is going to happen." Y/n said.

"He's going to try and take you from me. And I don't want that." KO said. He pulled her into a hug, burying his face in the crook of her neck. "You're mine and I won't let him take you from me."

Y/n's face heated up as he said that. She didn't know what to say, or even what to think. What did he mean by 'You're mine'?

"I love you, Y/n..." KO mumbled, answering her question. Y/n couldn't talk. She was frozen.

She finally snapped out of her trance-like state and shook her head, blinking her eyes. She placed her hand on his back. He looked up and into her eyes and smiled.

"I love you, too." She said, her voice just barely able to be heard. She couldn't believe it. KO just confessed his feelings, and Y/n returned them. It was like a dream come true. Or it was just her imagination. She couldn't tell the difference.

KO closed his eyes and began leaning in. Y/n realized what he was doing and did the same. Just as they were about to kiss...

"Hey, are you gonna help me or what?" Combo Breaker asked from the end of the aisle. KO turned to him and groaned, annoyed. Y/n smiled at KO.

"I'll be back in a moment." She said. She turned and walked away with Combo Breaker, leaving KO.

"So... You're KO's girlfriend?" Combo Breaker asked.

"I guess. I just found out he likes me." Y/n said.

"That's too bad. I really liked you." Combo Breaker said as he smirked. Y/n blushed and looked away, frowning.

"Right... Anyways, here's the weapons aisle. You should be able to find whatever you need here." Y/n said. She turned and walked away, but she heard Combo Breaker speak up.

"See ya later, cutie." He said. Y/n blushed and walked faster. She hoped to Cob that KO didn't see that.

"Y/n." KO said from the other side of the aisle. Of course he heard. What was she thinking, hoping he wouldn't? "That's it. You can't be near Combo Breaker."

He grabbed her hand and led her into the break room. He sat her down on a chair.

"You stay in here. I'll take care of everything." KO said as he walked out and closed the door.

At least all of that was over. But Y/n honestly wished it wasn't. KO looked so cute when he was throwing his little jealousy fit.

Maybe it would happen again. Hopefully. It was super cute.
