[Steven × Human!Reader]

I have had writer's block recently and have been having trouble writing. That's part of the reason why I haven't been as active that much.

It took me forever to make the idea of this chapter up and I don't really like it. It's rushed and terrible. So please, I would really love it if someone requested a chapter. Please be specific though, such as what you want to happen and so on.

Steven walked down the boardwalk, heading to Beach Citywalk Fries for some, you guessed it, fries.

As he approached the counter, he noticed PeeDee talking with an unfamiliar person. The girl he was with noticed Steven. She gestured to him, and PeeDee looked. He smiled and walked to the counter.

"Hey, Steven. What can I get you?" He asked. Steven looked at the girl, who was now on her phone.

"Who is that?" Steven asked as he pointed at her. PeeDee looked at her and smiled.

"That's my cousin. Her name's Y/n. You wanna talk to her?" He asked. Steven smiled and nodded. PeeDee then called her over.

As she walked up to the counter, Steven noticed she was a bit taller than him. Just a little bit. She must have been around his age.

"Hey." Y/n greeted. Steven smiled.

"Hi! My name's Steven!" He said as he stuck his hand over the counter to shake hers. She smiled and took it.

"Y/n." She introduced herself. She noticed Steven hadn't let go of her hand yet. Steven hadn't even noticed it himself. He did though as she pulled away. "So, you gonna order your fry bits?"

"You know I like those?" Steven asked, a little confused. Y/n smiled and nodded.

"PeeDee complains about you ordering things that aren't on the menu every time I'm here." She said. Steven chuckled a bit nervously.

"Well, they are my favorite thing to order here. They should put it on the menu." He said. Y/n's smile grew a bit.

"Why don't you two go hang out at Funland or something? You're not even helping out around here, Y/n." PeeDee said as he led her to the door. He opened it and pushed her out.

"Do you wanna go to Funland?" Y/n asked. Steven nodded. She smiled and grabbed his hand. "C'mon. I bet we can find something better than fry bits at Funland." She began leading him away.

As they were walking down the boardwalk, things got quiet between the two. Y/n didn't have anything to say, but Steven wanted to ask her some questions.

"So... Y/n, where are you from?" He asked.

"Ocean Town. My parents bring me here once or twice every year to stay in Beach City." Y/n answered.

"Oh. How come I never noticed you before now?" Steven asked. Y/n shrugged.

"Maybe we were just never in the same place at the same time. I'm always wondering around Beach City when I come. You just haven't noticed." She said. Steven looked at the ground.

"Maybe it's because I'm always busy going on missions." He said, smirking a little. He knew this would catch her attention. And just as he had hoped, it did.

"Missions? What kind of missions?" Y/n asked as she raised an eyebrow.

"We go on missions to find corrupted gems and poof them. I'm part gem. See?" Steven raised his shirt a bit and pointed to the pink gem on his stomach.

"Why do you have it?" Y/n asked as she looked at it.

"It was my mom's. She gave up her physical form so I could be born. She was a magical gem warrior who fought in a war." Steven said. Y/n's eyes widened a bit, shocked. She crossed her arms.

"Prove it." She said. Steven smiled.

"Okay." He grabbed her a lifted her up bridal style, leaping into the air. Y/n shrieked as she wrapped her arms around him, holding him close.

"I believe you, I believe you! Just put me down! This is too high!" She said as she squeezed her eyes shut, not wanting to look down. A few seconds later, she felt Steven set her on her feet. She opened her eyes and looked at him, shocked.

"Well?" Steven asked, waiting to hear what she had to say. Y/n was silent for a moment before speaking.

"You have magic... That's... That's amazing!" She exclaimed, smiling. Steven smiled back.

"It is nice to have, especially when I get to impress you with it." He smirked. Y/n blushed a bit and playfully punched his shoulder.

"Well, you definitely did impress me." She said as she began walking again. Steven followed beside her.

"So... How long are you gonna be staying here?" Steven asked.

"About a week." Y/n answered. Steven grabbed her hand and pulled her close.

"Then it's settled. I'm gonna make you fall for me before the week ends." He said, his smirk returning. Y/n's blush returned as well.

"We'll see about that." She smirked back.

Hansjshdbf I think Steven was a bit OOC in this one.

Please, somebody request something before I die. I have nothing else to do besides write and I can't think of anything.
