[Darrel × Puppy!Reader] - Request

AHHHH I'M SO SORRY IT'S TAKING ME FOREVER TO GET THESE DONE. I just have really bad writer's block and I have a lot of other oneshots I haven't come with a story for yet. Plus a lot has been going on in my life lately. This was requested by Allyson46073. I hope you enjoy.

Y/n sighed as she walked into BoxMore factory, ready for another day of work.

She wasn't a villain, but she needed a job for the money. She hated working here though. She was even planning on quitting because of one person. Darrel.

He would constantly make fun of her because she 'wasn't normal'. She was an anthropomorphic dog. He would bully her everyday and it always got on her nerves. But she could never do anything about it. She was just too scared of getting hurt.

As she walked in today, she was greeted with a familiar annoying voice. She sighed as she listened to him go on and on.

"Hey, what's your powers? Sniffing other dogs' butts?" He said. He burst out laughing at his stupid joke. Y/n rolled her eyes.

"Darrel, leave me alone. I'm not in the mood for your games." She said. Darrel made a fake pouty face.

"Aw, come on, Y/n! You love me! So stop pretending you hate me!" He said.

"I wouldn't love you even if you were the only other person on the planet." Y/n hissed. Darrel frowned.

"You're no fun." He said as he crossed his arms.

"Maybe I would if you weren't such a jerk!" Y/n said.

"I'm a villain, what were you expecting?" Darrel said. Y/n groaned in annoyance and walked faster, trying to get away from him. "Anyways, where are you going? You seem like you're in a hurry."

"I am in a hurry. And mind your own business." Y/n said. But Darrel continued to follow her. She sighed, ignoring it and walked into her boss's office. He looked up from his paperwork and smiled.

"Y/n, what are you doing here? And why is Darrel with you?" Boxman asked.

"He insisted on following me. And I'm here because I want to quit." Y/n said, causing Darrel to gasp. He gripped her shoulders tightly.

"What?! You can't leave!" He exclaimed. Y/n pulled his hands off her shoulder.

"Yes, I can. Why do you even care?! You don't like me!" Y/n said.

"What made you think I don't like you?!" Darrel said.

"You're a jerk to me! You never say anything nice, you just make fun of me for being me!" Y/n shouted, clenching her fists.

"That's enough!" Boxman intervened before things got too carried away. "Darrel, why do you care so much about her leaving? Everyone knows you hate her."

"I-I don't hate her! I just..." Darrel looked at Y/n then to the ground as he sighed, closing his eye. "I thought we were just playing around. I thought you... Maybe would have liked it."

"What made you think that I would like being made fun of?" Y/n asked through her clenched teeth.

"I... I don't know. I'm sorry. Please don't leave." Darrel said. Y/n looked at him for a moment, contemplating. She looked up at Boxman.

"I'm quitting." She said, causing Darrel to frown and look up her.

"But... I wanted you to stay..." He said sadly.

"I'm just quitting, but I'll make sure to give you lots of visits. Maybe then we can get along more." Y/n said as she smiled a bit at him. He smiled back, happy she forgave him.

"Okay, enough with that friendship garbage. Just leave if you quit." Boxman said in disgust. Y/n chuckled a bit at him and turned, walking out. Darrel followed as he grabbed her hand and swung their arms.

"We're gonna be best friends, I just know it!" He said. Y/n giggled.

"Yeah. Best friends." She repeated, smiling to herself.

OH MY GOSH I DID HORRIBLE ON THIS IT WAS TOO SHORT AND TOOK ME TOO LONG TO MAKE I'M SO SORRY
It's just that I'm also trying to come up with other oneshots that people have been waiting a while on and it's just a little hard to focus on, what with my writer's block and things going on in my life.
