Part 3

Another day at my day job, spending nearly ten hours wearing a helmet putting metal together. It's not bad, it just sometimes seems pointless because I make more doing one mission than a month's pay from this place. After finishing my sixth heating unit I sat down to finish my paperwork hopefully it will kill enough time to finish my day. Carlyle has been telling us about backing up some Masks on a mission to kill someone that Rainbow is protecting tonight.

Worker: Hey Y/n, we are going to go to Mark's want to join?

"I might be busy helping one of my army buddies move into a house."

Worker: Alright sounds good, I'll send you a text in case you can go."

He walked away, sending the message. I ignored it as my phone buzzed. I don't have time to hang out at houses with people I don't care about. Though sometimes hanging out with Liam sucks with him trying to hook up with every and almost any woman, and Rob just drinks or plays games which doesn't bother me much. Carlyle has never really taken time for that, he's always looking for recruits. Maybe I'll get lucky and see Emmanuelle's friend again.

End of work buzzer

"Hot damn."

After getting my coat and bag from my locker I usually walk back home but Liam was waiting for me outside of work.

"What you doing?"

Liam: Carlyle wants us to do a quick job before we go out.

I sat up front, Robert was in the back putting a rifle together.

Robert: Sup bro, you want to shoot this?

"Who we shooting?"

Robert: Sounds like one of our contacts have been compromised, we are going to kill'em.

"What about Carlyle?"

Liam: He's going to meet us in our car. So Robert told me you were too embarrassed to drop off at your apartment.

"Maybe I just wanted to see my friend."

Liam: Who is the Emma girl you hiding from me?

Robert: Shit dude you couldn't score with her.

Liam: Oh so this is Y/n's lady?

"No, she's not."

Liam: So when we going to meet her again?

"Don't ask me I just saw her walk out with her friends."

Liam: Friends?

"Yeah, three of them."

Liam: Three? What the hell Y/n?

"What?"

We stopped at a garage where Carlyle was waiting for us.

Carlyle: Get ready boys.

We drove off to our mission, we got out walking to the back grabbing weapons as Liam took the sniper to an advantage point.

Carlyle: Okay, move in kill anyone in our way and get out before Rainbow or cops show up.

We are across the street weapons ready.

Carlyle: Liam watch for any unwelcomed guests.

Robert shot the door open, screams came from inside the house. I moved inside instantly getting hit by something that gave me the worst headache ever. Robert jumped over me firing at someone running to cover.

Robert: You okay?

I got up shooting back at our friend. I moved up as Robert covered me. A man wearing a gas mask fired a shotgun at me.
