A/N

(Y/N) Your Name

(Btw, just wanted to let you know, in between the last chapter and this one, there are supposed to be a few days apart but I felt if it was the same day, it would match the story better)

(Y/N) laid down in her bed. Hoping Caesar was going to be okay. She knew he would be, she was just concerned. She decided lying there wouldn't make time go by faster, so she decided to go downstairs and get a cookie. She flew down and went to the kitchen. Once she got her cookie, she went over to the table in the kitchen and sat down.

After a few bites, (Y/N) noticed something strange outside the window. There was a black car which had the window rolled down. And a suspicious looking man, just watching her. Not moving. She looked behind her to see if the man was looking at something behind her, be there was nothing. She turned back to the window and saw the car window was rolled up and slowly driving away.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK! The knock startled her. Who was it? She began to feel paranoid. She knew Charles was asleep upstairs so it couldn't be him. Could it be that man? She slowly walked over to the door.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK! She froze, her eyes slowly glowing more and more red. Then she heard the giggling hoots of her mischievous brother. (Y/N) exhaled in relief. Then her thermal radiation sensed there were 3 people there. Will, Caesar but who else? She freaked out and flew upstairs to the attic in instinct.

"Dad! (Y/N)! We're home!" She heard her father yell. She felt like going down but she also didn't. Then she heard footsteps walking up the stairs. "(Y/N)? You up here?" Will asked out loud. She saw her dad, her brother and a woman that's she's never seen before come upstairs. (Y/N) stayed in her corner in the ceiling.

The strange woman turned around and looked up, to be looking at her right in the eye, she gasped. Will looked over to her and then to (Y/N). "Oh (Y/N), come on down and meet our guest." (Y/N) was unsure but slowly flew down over to her father. She hugged him in fear. Caesar came over to her and gave her hoots of encouragement.

"Wow." The lady examined (Y/N) curiously. "You are beautiful." She smiled.

"(Y/N), this is Caroline. She helped make Caesar better." Will said calming her down. (Y/N) nodded in understanding.

"Hello (Y/N). How old are you?" Caroline asked.

"Four." (Y/N) said. Caroline smiled at the gorgeous little girl. She wasn't sure if she would be able to ask (Y/N) about her wings, so she might ask Will later.

"You're very pretty (Y/N)." She said. (Y/N) smiled and giggled quietly.

"Thank you." She replied. Caroline turned her attention towards Will.

"They're quite extraordinary. What's your secret?" She asked.

Will sighed, "I can't take any credit, it's in their genes."

Caroline laughed. "I think you're being very modest, they're both pretty amazing." She said as she watched the two kids run around the room. "I think you've built a pretty good home for them here. But they won't stay this way for long. Caesar will soon grow into a large powerful animal and (Y/N), well... she'll be a woman. Not to mention the fact she has wings and will need a place of her own. You've been home-schooling her right?"

"Yes, I have. I've also been helping her control her abilities." Will nodded.

"Abilities?" Caroline questioned.

"Yeah. She has thermal radiation, like snakes. A raven's wings, but for her size. And the strength of an ape." Will explained. Caroline was confused.

"But how?" Will looked down. Even though it wasn't him who experimented on (Y/N)'s mother, he still felt responsible.

"I uh... I'll tell you later." He whispered.

"...I love chimpanzee's." Caroline said. "I'm also afraid of them. And I think it's appropriate to be afraid of them." Their conversation was interrupted by Caesar jumping onto the bed and onto Will. Will laughed and leaned back while Caesar pretended to hit him. He pushed Caesar off the bed.

"Caecae, come look!" (Y/N) called him up to the window. Caroline laughed at adorable nickname (Y/N) gave Caesar. Both of them banged onto the window, obviously wanting to get out.

"Can we at least give them some open space?" Caroline laughed. Will joined laughing.

"Yeah, that's probably a good idea." Both of them looked over to the little girl and the ape. Then Will got an idea. "I know a place right across the bridge, the Redwoods. It's paradise."
