(Y/N), along with Rocket, Maurice and the other 13 apes walked back to their home. Leaves on the trees rustled lightly from the wind and from some of the apes who swung along the branches. As the sun slowly began to set. They all reached home. Cornelius hugged (Y/N) tightly, scared if he let go she would disappear into thin air. Nova gave her the next hug. A few tears rolled down the little girl's cheeks but still, she smiled with joy.

Liam and Andrew walked up to (Y/N) after Nova. They looked down in fear that they would be told to leave. They were forced to pretend to be related to Damon, it wasn't their choice! (Y/N) looked down to them.

"They can't get to you now, don't worry, you can stay here." The two boy's eyes lit up. They hugged the gorgeous woman while she wrapped her wings around them. She heard a bird's call and looked up to see (B/N) fly down and land on her shoulder. He rubbed his face against (Y/N)'s. (B/N) had heard what happened to her and he was thrilled she was back. (Y/N) looked into the sky again and saw a female hawk hovering in the air. She smirked to (B/N) who rolled his eyes in a joking manner. She gestured towards the bird in the air. (B/N) smiled then flew to the forest with his new 'friend' * ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)*

Everything was settled and any people who wanted to harm the ape colony were gone. (Y/N) decided they would build a small hut for the boys to live in. It would be placed somewhere in the forest. Out of view of the apes but close enough that it only took a couple minutes to walk to.

(Y/N) trained Cornelius every few days until he was the right age to become leader. She trained him in protecting himself, what to do in certain situations and how to lead the apes in hunts, battles and just in general.

Nova, Lake and herself had times to hang out. They would relax by the water and talk about a bunch of different things. It was their time to bond and take some time off their responsibilities.

(Y/N) decided to show Liam and Andrew a few different jobs in the ape community. Introducing them to things like small hunts, beginners building skills and a few others.

Nova helped now and then while also getting closer to Liam. Neither of them had their voices but that's what kept them close. They understood each others struggles.

(Y/N) was upset Damon turned out to be a bad person. She felt as though they really connected. But, in a way, she was glad she's still single. She realised that she didn't need a partner to feel whole. She had Nova and Lake, who were like sisters to her, she had Liam and Andrew who slowly became like little brothers. Maurice and Rocket remained her closest friends, they were by her side the whole way. And Caesar may be gone, but she will never forget her best friend.

~Four Years Later~

An 8-year-old Cornelius (25 in human years) stood in front of the entire ape community. He stood on a wooden platform built for important announcements and occasions. This was one of those important occasions. He stood tall and strong with a proud smile. On the platform, (Y/N), Maurice, Rocket and Lake stood on the sides. Nova (17), Liam (19) and Andrew (11) stood in the crowd. A 24-year-old (Y/N) walked up next to him. A warm smile on her face. Cornelius was about the same height as his 'Aunt' now.

"As we know, Cornelius has officially come of age to become Leader of the Apes." (Y/N) said loudly for all the apes to hear. "As brother of Blue Eyes, son of Cornelia and-" (Y/N) let a single tear fall as her voice slightly shook. "-former Leader and King of the apes... Caesar. We trust you with our lives." All the apes hooted as they cheered for their new Leader. Their new king. Cornelius grinned and faced (Y/N).

"Thanks for training me, and taking care of me. I know this is hard for you. But are you sure that this is the best decision?"

"Cornelius, do you ever think Caesar had any doubt when he was leader?" (Y/N) asked. Cornelius shook his head. He had never thought that his father, the one who led the apes away from San Francisco, the ape who led all the other apes to safety, the ape who helped everyone escape from a military fortress in the snow, would ever have any doubt in his mind. "Well, I know this might seem crazy, but he did. He wasn't sure if what he was doing was right. He always second-guessed his decisions. But he went with his gut, his instinct, and that's what made him a great leader." Cornelius looked down for a second then back up with a reassuring smile. He hugged (Y/N) tightly. She hugged back with her wings and arms.

"Thank you." He whispered. They separated and (Y/N) gestured towards the crowd of apes. Cornelius looked towards the massive crowd. (Y/N) stood in between Rocket and Maurice. She raised her wings around their shoulders. They smiled to her. Cornelius raised his hands and turned them to fists. He rested them together above his head.

"Apes! Together! Strong!" He yelled. The apes copied his action and hooted their respects loudly. Cornelius could never live up to his father's legacy, he knew that. But that didn't stop him from trying to be as great as him. Or trying to make him proud. But little did he know, he already did.
